This is the worst scam ever! The kit claims to come with FREE installation. Nope. Never. HelloTech will schedule fake appointments and cancel them repeatedly, but no one will ever show up and your Starlink will never be installed. You will have to handle the install yourself OR PAY someone else to install it. The FREE installation is a complete scam, SO disappointed! Also, there is no roof mount/J-pole and bracket in the kit. It only comes with a plastic "kickstand" which will NEVER work on a roof install - lame.

Starlink is the best internet service I have ever had the privilege to use in the last 20 years that I have lived in the home I'm living in now that offered me high speed internet. When I first moved out here I tried HughesNet which no no joke I swear to anything you want me to that Houston was literally slower than dial-up and costs about as much as having a third car payment probably more. I first tried them 20 years ago cuz they were the only option as far as I know for high-speed internet where I live. Biggest mistake I've ever made in my life i bought the standard star link gen 3 package mounted it on the pool link adapter right on a metal post about 25 ft off the ground. The starting package came with pretty much everything I needed the only thing I had to buy ShopRite was a special pulling out adapter and I bought a 25-ft pole to mount it on and a 100 ft cable his ID it at least that to plug it into the modem after it was set up. I got it set up I bought a router / power supply box wall mount holder and I mounted those holders up and snapped the router and the power supply into place. The second I turned everything on after running all the wires and satellite and the modem and whatnot everything was fine and worked great haven't had any issues at all with it. And for 120 bucks a month I get one terabyte of data to use and that is more than enough more than I could ever use in a month. Read the fine print if you are thinking about opting for the $40 or the $90 data plan I personally think the $120 one terabyte per month is the best at that plan to buy but that's my own personal opinion. I haven't had any issues with it the internet is super fast and reliable almost scares me how well it works because I figured a great satellite internet and I watched a few YouTube videos on darling satellites and what they offer I like the fact that they offer concerts and hundreds and hundreds of low orbit satellites instead of just one or two big satellites that are out by the moon somewhere those are the type that HughesNet uses I also like the fact knowing that starlink is always launching hundreds of more lower but satellites every couple months to keep up with the demand Of the customers needs that sign up for starlink everyday. My personal opinion about starlink at least my opinion about their residential Gen 3 satellite and router setup with the $120 one terabyte per month of data I particular setup gives me plenty of high-speed internet it was the easiest piece of equipment I've ever set up the app takes you step by step what you have to do helps you calibrate everything and it doesn't take any time at all. And you're not going to find a better rate or more reasonable high speed internet out there.

Very easy to install, but the rental will be expensive. $90 to $180 a month. You can go to their website and see what your charge would be. With local rentals at about $50 it's just not worth it for me. I just laid it on the grass in my lawn and it had a perfect signal. On the roof would be excellent I'm sure. But the rental does not compare favorably to the local providers. So it goes back to the store. Check your $rate before you bother buying the kit!

Love how fast it came. The dish is easy to install and setup. The activation was easy and the speeds are great. Downloads, Gaming, Video conferencing and just plain streaming with multiple users has been great. Was so glad to get rid of Comcast and all of their pricey hidden charges. With starlink adding more and better satellites the service will only get better.

we recently purchased this item to get away from the cable company we are forced to receive here in our county. the company has poles that are leaning and only beings held up by tension of the cable and where it's not there is cable hanging off it where thiefs have stolen it. and we have been with the company through several buy outs and had the same phone number for over 40 years. wish we had this 30 years ago

I purchased this as a Blck Friday special. it was supposed to come with the selected mounting kit, but did not and free install. Now I have to purchase that seperate...making it regular price AND pay I have to pay $125 for return install. Now I'm roughly at $700. It was

Starlink has been amazing! I wanted to get it for a long time but never did, I finally broke down and bought it, and I wished I had bought it so much sooner. I started to get nervous after ordering it as I’ve heard of stories of people that purchased from Walmart and had to pay an out of region fee, thankfully though the seller on Walmart I purchased from I didn’t have this issue, I set it up, even got a free 7 day trial to starlink internet from starlink themselves, and a discounted first month cost! It has been great! If you purchase one, I will advise to be cautious as you may get an out of region fee, if you do, return the starlink don’t even finish setting it up so that you don’t get hit with that fee. As for the seller I purchased from, I didn’t have this issue!

I cannot say enough positive things about Starlink! Admittedly I was a bit skeptical at first if it would truly work in "middle of nowhere" areas. All my skepticism was erased after setting it up for the first time. Installation was extremely simple. I bought the pole kit to carry with my wife and I in our Airstream. I screwed the pole in the ground, set the dish on top finger tightened 4 wing nuts and it was done. I ran the cord to the router plugged it in and opened the Starlink app. The app immediately connected to the router and began searching for the nearest satellite. In just seconds it locked on and had me rotate the dish until it was in the perfect position. I then ran a speed test and couldn't believe my eyes. The download was 360 Mbps and upload was 45 Mbps. The wife and I watched a couple 4K movies worked on our laptops and used our phones over the next few days without a single issue, One of my favorite things about Starlink and being a RV owner is when we aren't using it I can go on the app and "Pause" our service and pay a simple $5 monthly fee until we are ready to travel again. Starlink exceeded our expectations in every way! Highly recommend!!
