French onion soup is my favorite food. I can make a great one. However, that is a time and energy consuming process that I can't do every week. This kit is perfect for a quick craving killer when you can't slave over the stove caramelizing onions on a Tuesday night. Warm the soup on the stove, put it in a crock, top with the croutons and cheese and bake it in the oven just a little bit.

This was the worst french onion soup that i have ever tasted! Anyone that considers this acceptable has obviously never had real french onion soup😡. We were looking forward to the soup, but we were extremely disappointed - never again. Member mark products are now suspect!

I never had the pleasure of tasting French onion soup until recently but you have to prepare it correctly I advise you to warm the broth on top of the stove pour it in a bowl put the bread crumbs then cheese and place it in the oven on boil to melt the cheese very lovely appetizer or even a meal 2 servings each pack enjoy

Not enough cheese to qualify this as genuine French Onion Soup. A few croutons do not take the place of a slice of French bread. Broth was watery with not enough flavoring. All in all. A pale imitation of what you'd expect if you ordered French Onion Soup in a restaurant.

I love this soup!! I just discovered it about a month ago %26 I eat it several times a week. I still look forward to it every time I have it. I'm worried that my local Sams is getting rid of it. I'll be devastated if that happens. Please keep this available at Sams in York, PA.

I had high hopes for this. It looked delicious, but unfortunately it tasted like peppered onion vinegar. The cheese was good and onion content high, but the sour, peppery taste was off-putting. I won't be repurchasing this one.

This has to be the worst item I have ever purchased from Sam's club. It looked like dirty dish water and to say that it tasted like it is praising it too much. It was dirty pepper water with onions floating in it.

Easily one of the worst french onion soups that I have ever tasted. I appreciate the effort. Please go back to the test kitchen and try again. The kit was convenient, which is why I gave it the second star.

Rich, cheesy, deeply flavorful—and now I’m personally offended because I don’t know if my homemade French onion soup is better anymore. This soup showed up, did the absolute most, and required zero effort. Rude. 10/10.”

I grew up in the Midwest where we learned to love Famous Barr French onion soup. I’m always looking for something that might be convenient vs me making a pot. This was a big disappointment. Very thin broth, the onions were not caramelized like a good French onion soup. The package does contain a good amount of shredded cheese and melted nicely. If you have not had a thick, caramelized French onion soup then you might like this but I’m spoiled. Back to making my own.
