I was very impressed with the power of the machine, specifically the suction. Each pass of the vacuum I was able to pull up a lot of the water and the carpet felt barely damp once I was finished. The machine's heat feature was unfortunately not as impressive. In my opinion the water did not heat to a very high temperature. I felt it was easier to use hot water from the tap to fill the water tank. One positive is the ability to clean the machine afterwards, the directions are easy to follow and it's a quick clean up. While the heat feature wasn't impressive to me I was happy with the ability to clean stains from the carpet. I successfully removed slime off of the carpet using heat and also a coffee stain using the provided stain remover. If you have kids or pets this portable machine is very useful to clean up small messes.

As to why, here are my reasons... I'm not a fan of bulk machines. When I was asked about participating in a portable cleaner I was anxious as I was looking for one on the market. What I love about this machine the most is the heated water feature. Having the water heated does help break down the mess that I'm trying to clean up. We have four cats so there's bound to be a hair ball or mess somewhere to be cleaned up. This machine is so tough I expected to have put in more work to lift up the mess. The fact that is small, the design allows to keep all pieces of the machine together...and that it's corded is some of all of the best features. It's compact and easy to store in my utility closet. The machine also game with a bottle of formula which I will continue to buy and use. It's enough for a few batches but not as big as the smallest size you'd find in a store. I like the fresh smell the solution provides and how tough it is at breaking down stains. I've used it not only on my pets vomit, hairballs...I also used it on spilled juice and marker stains my kids put on our carpet. Over all Id give it a 4/5. Only one star deduction because it is a little on the heavier side but it could just be for me personally. Also I wish the water heated up a little bit more but I do understand for safety reasons how that may not have been able to be. I'm glad I own this machine and actually am excited and looking forward to its next use. Maybe my car???

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was given this portable carpet cleaner to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. I have used many Bissell products including other Bissell portable cleaners. This version now heats the water directly in the machine in 30 seconds compared to previous versions that require you to put in hot water (which the machine keeps hot). This is much more convenient and saves a step. It worked great on my cat's hairball mess on my velvet couch and didn't leave water stains. It heated up quick, I sprayed some Bissell solution, and used the brush to get off the mess, and it then sucked up everything quickly and easily. The mahcine itself is also easy to clean up. Sometimes with these types of machines, cleaning the machine itself is more of a chore than cleaning the mess itself. There aren't a million parts and it is easy to take apart and wash. It is light and portable at less than 10 pounds. I do appreciate the steam function on the Bissell Little Green Hydrosteam Pet, but that is a heavier machine (13 pounds). Overall, I think this is a great portable machine for small messes. A win for me with kids and pets!

I've had it for a little while now, and it's definitely a mixed bag. On the positive side, the cord and hose length are great, giving me ample reach for cleaning without constantly needing to unplug or move around. The machine itself is light and easy to store, which is a huge plus for quick clean-ups of small messes-especially with kids and pets in the house. I really appreciate the self-cleaning feature for the hose. It's incredibly convenient, as I don't always have time to fully disassemble the machine to clean it after each use. Plus, the tank and machine are easy to clean, which is another time-saver. However, the "heat" feature leaves a lot to be desired. It's only slightly warm, which doesn't really feel like it provides any significant cleaning boost. The suction power is decent, but it could definitely use some improvement. I often find myself going over the same area multiple times to get it fully clean. If I don't move the nozzle very slowly, it's not as effective. As a busy parent, this isn't always the most time-efficient approach. Overall, it's a handy tool for smaller, quick messes, but if you're looking for something with stronger heat and suction, this might not be the best option.

I put this machine to use in various areas in my home and car! My first run was for short carpet for a juice spill, red of course on beige carpet. I used the heat setting and the formula that comes with the machine. I was amazed to see the stain practically disappear after one go over. After cleaning the juice spill, I remembered my kids had got slime on my shaggy area rug. I put it to the test with the heat again and after a few times over the slime was coming out. My car was the last time I used the machine to clean my seats and floor mats. They were not too dirty so I did not use the heat setting but still got more dirty water than I thought I would. This little green machine is just the perfect size and weight to bring wherever a mess occurs and packs the power you need to clean it up. The set up and clean up was minimal effort. I referenced the manual to make sure I did everything correctly. It was easy to follow and a great tool.

I used it on my living room rug and couch which takes all the spills and mess from 2 small kids and a cat. Set-up was easy. I used the heat function- it refreshed both my couch with multiple stains and the heavy traffic areas of the rug. Both areas only took about 20 minutes. The formula smell was fresh and clean. It took a few hours to dry. I will definitely use on a regular basis because it is quick and effective. Thanks for the chance to try!!

I absolutely love this little green pro heat Bissell pet upholstery cleaner. It was so super easy to use . Very simple to put water and cleaner in the tank. It's all marked with lines showing just how much of everything to put in. It works so well at cleaning my pups mess. On the messes that are a little more serious , I used the heating on it and it just comes out like nothing. The cleaner works so well at getting the stains out and it smells so clean and wonderful after. Clean up is way easier than I thought. I mean the tank just comes out and empties then clean it out. That's it!!!!! I love this so much and just don't know how I ever lived without it. I even used it on my mattress. I highly recommend it to others.

I have an older model of the Bissell carpet cleaner, but this one is so sleek looking, easy to carry, and the electric cord and hose are longer in the newer version. The heat feature cut the cleaning time in half, and seemed to get out stains better than when no heat is used. Simple features -- only two buttons, so it's impossible not to get it right. I used it to clean up dog vomit (eww), wine, coffee. All worked great. The formula had a decent scent and worked well. My favorite thing, though, is the brush/handle that has removable parts. Finally! You can clean it out, so anything that gets sucked up in the brush and stuck in the bristles can be washed really well. Also, the new brush is silicone, so it's easy to clean. Like new, every time! Nothing bad to say about this machine!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this steam cleaner as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel and was excited to try something with extra heat because I've had a good experience with this brand before. We have three kids and 2 aging pets so we are frequent steam cleaner users, but I didn't find anything special about this cleaner. It is portable and lightweight which I love but the suction wasn't very strong. It worked okay on pet urine on our low pile carpet but I had to go over it 3 separate times on our plush bedroom carpet. I honestly didn't see a difference with the heat feature. I also didn't like how much cleaning solution that you go through in one use. I'll continue to use this for fresh stains on our low carpets but for tough messes I'll need to swap for something heavy duty. It was easy to clean and store away as well.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had a Bissell spot cleaner that was about 15 years old, and it was definitely time for it to be replaced. This new ProHeat Pet cleaner has been such a nice upgrade! It's lightweight, more compact, and quieter. Both the clean and dirty water tanks are very large, which allows for longer cleaning time without interruptions for refills (a pet peeve about my old one!). It does a great job of cleaning most spots, although some stains definitely need a pre-treatment if they are really set-in. I use this most often for pet messes, and it works great for that. The heat feature is handy for keeping your hot water hot while cleaning bigger areas. The suction is excellent and seems to pull almost all of the water out with only a couple passes. I'm so glad they added a self-clean feature to this as well, which makes the clean-up of the machine so much easier than on my old model. I also really appreciate that the cleaning head comes apart on this one so you can clean it thoroughly when done. My only complaint with this machine is the black hose! My older model had a clear hose, so you could see if there was still gunk that needed cleared out. Since you can't see through this one, there's no way of knowing if the hose is still dirty, has a blockage, or is becoming moldy. Otherwise, I love everything else about this machine and I'm so happy I was able to upgrade! I received this product through the Stellar Product Testing Panel.
