My kids love these, but the mesh pocket tear after 2 months use (in both backpacks)

Tray lifts when opening lid. Just bought this, have not washed or used it yet. I bought a two pack and one opens normally, the other lifts the tray which remains adherent to the lid when opening. Will return.

My daughter complains about the food mixing together from the compartments. We didn't have this problem with the non chill lunch containers. I also noticed these are harder to seal shut.

I bought this for my new preschooler and love it so far. It's easy to clean and use, and provides just the right amount of storage for my daughter's lunch. I bought this one because of the ice pack which is helpful to keep her lunch cold. Highly recommend!

It has sections to not allow food to touch without using gobs of Tupperware, it's easy to wipe out and clean, the rubber seal seems very durable as long as it is hand washed. My only semi concern with this is the possibility of mold, so I hand washed it after ever use with a baby bottle brush to get into the tight crevices of the rubber, but if you use press n seal or wrap on the top lid, it will help.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was very excited to get this Bento Chill with an ice pack built in. The box looks nice and has grippy material on it so they can carry with ease. The latch to open the box is very easy, even for my 3 year old. The portions are just right for my son and everything stays cold. This solves the problems.

My son has been using his Bentgo for preschool and has loved it. He loves helping to prepare his snack by putting them in the individual sections. It’s great that the tray comes out and that there is an ice pack. It fits in his backpack well with his water bottle, and because it is slim it doesn’t take over the space. I’ve had some confusion how the ice pack works because there is no liquid in it. It is really light so I’ve wondered if it was damaged and missing the fill. It gets cold in the freezer but I’m not sure how long it lasts. When he is home from school after 3 hours, his snack is not chilled. Other concerns have been that it is not the easiest to close, like it’s bursting at the seams. I’ve made sure all the components are snapped in place but it feels like it may burst open, but I have not seen it burst open. I don’t think my son could put it together and close it himself. A small crack developed on the side, I have no idea how. The silicone is not affected so I don’t think the seal is broken. The saddest part is that the silicone inside developed mold under normal use. We wash it by hand everyday after he gets home from school and let it air dry. So I guess it’s moisture from the time it’s prepared and used at school till he gets home that causes it. I still think it is a great product but can’t continue to use with the mold. We have had it about 2 years.

My daughter received this as a gift. She’s doesn’t eat much of a lunch and is more of a snacker so was excited for this product plus it’s not super bulky and liked that it comes with the cooking pack. Unfortunately it wouldn’t close/seal properly. Wasn’t sure Id be able to have this resolved without hassle, but customer service was quick to respond and will be replacing this item. Thanks so much!

I purchased the chill lunch box about a year ago from my toddler. He uses it daily at daycare and it has been great! He likes that he can open it himself and each food has its own spot. The freezer pack is perfect to keep his lunch cold because the daycare doesn’t refrigerate lunches for the kids. I would highly recommend this product.

I wasn’t going to get my son a new backpack to be honest his old one was fine but this one was structured in a way that I found to be pretty useful and practical and the quality was amazing and now that we’ve been using it for a few weeks I’m really happy that we did because it is very functional and we’re very happy with it.
