Not only does it have no fragrance (something that is so bad on other types, I can't even do yard work when the neighbors are doing their laundry), but it works very well. The price is reasonable, and a little goes a long way. Another benefit is that it doesn't glonk up my machine, and there is no noticeable residue on my clothes with regular use. I always use the Downy ball to dispense it, and the combo works reliably every time. I've been using Downy Free & Gentle for years and expect to continue using it for many more.

I have been using the free & sensitive downy for years without issue. The last bottle I bought, though, had the consistency of water and has not had the same softening effect as in the past. Bummer. Anyone have recommendations for lower-chemical alternatives?

So this product is just right for both of us. And it make your clothes so soft. They feel so good when you put them on.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think Ultra Downy Free & Gentle is great for people with sensitive skin and a sensitivity to strong scents. (like my mother). There is no strong smell and it is gentle on sensitive skin. I always had to run a separate load for my mother's clothes because she is sensitive to fabric softeners, but I no longer have to wash clothes separately. It is gentle enough for her and softens all our clothes nicely. The whole family benefits!

Sometimes the scents bother me especially when coupled with a perfume. This is great!! It works perfectly. The clothes and towels are still very soft without all the fragrance.

However,after several uses this product has proven to not give her skin problems unlike other products in the market. I will start recommending this to my friends that have children with sensitive skin and newborns.
