This product delivers the same fabulous softness that you get with regular Downy softeners without the dyes, fragrances, etc. My daughter's clothes came out feeling very clean and very soft and I felt confident that her skin would not be irritated. I'm very happy that Downy decided to release this product and will continue to purchase and use it.

It’s super effective in getting my clothes nice and soft and it is super gentle on my family’s sensitive skin. Since using it I have had not complaints of any rash or itchy skin. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Although Downy Free and Gentle Liquid Fabric Conditioner is great for people with sensitive skin/allergies or for newborns, my clothes came out of the dryer with static. The smell out of the container is a little off-putting but comes out scent free when clothes are dry. I would consider getting it if I have a newborn again but otherwise it is not as soft and creates static which my regular fabric softener does not.

My whites came out really soft, fluffy and there was not a hint of fragrance in my clothes. This is very important to my family because of skin allergies and asthma. My T-shirt’s were revitalized. The band was noticeably tighter around the neck. I had no struggle getting my grandson to keep his T-shirt on longer than normal. My color knit shirts came out really nice as well. I don’t think I’ll be sending them out to be laundered anymore.

What is most important is that the product is free of dyes and perfumes which can be a concern for many. Most of the products out there today contains significant amounts of perfumes and dyes which may ruin clothes and for those who are sensitive, perfumes can be irritating. Moreover, it claims to be dermatologist tested so what more can you ask for? I have been using this product to wash my delicate clothing and white colored shirts which has served me very well. I love it so much I've been bragging about it to my parents and family members so they would also give it a try. Overall, great product and definitely would purchase again.

Not only does it have no fragrance (something that is so bad on other types, I can't even do yard work when the neighbors are doing their laundry), but it works very well. The price is reasonable, and a little goes a long way. Another benefit is that it doesn't glonk up my machine, and there is no noticeable residue on my clothes with regular use. I always use the Downy ball to dispense it, and the combo works reliably every time. I've been using Downy Free & Gentle for years and expect to continue using it for many more.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was looking for an alternative to the dryer sheets and wanted something f that wouldn’t irritate my baby’s skin. I thought this was great product and gentle on skin for my 7 month old daughter! Clothes and sheets felt great after!

This is my mom's go too fabric softener. We have used it for years. Except lately with this washing machine we don't really use it that much it started to leave a residue on certain types of materials. So we only use it in white and delicates. The darks leave markings and so does my scrubs for work. I am not sure why.

So this product is just right for both of us. And it make your clothes so soft. They feel so good when you put them on.
