[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm so glad I found this product! I didn't think fabric softener was an option for me because of my and my son's sensitive skin. I always have to use dye and perfume free products to avoid redness and itching on our skin. Now that I have Downey free and clear fabric softener our clothes have never been softer and that's a huge plus for person's with sensitive skin! Plus with the addition of now having a fabric softener that I am able to use, I can also have the option of line/air drying laundry items without them being scratchy and stiff.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I liked knowing this Downy (my usual brand for many many years!) went "free and clear" for a new option. It was clear/white... and I liked seeing that no colors were added. It makes me feel good to know I wasn't adding anything bad to the environment with the water runoff that occurs after using a washing machine. My (washed and dried) clothes smelled clean, with no lingering scents and they were soft. I do recommend this to folks who have allergies (me!!) and possible reactions to additives (me!). However, I do also enjoy the light scents of regular Downy fabric softeners, as the scent does wear off over time and when I pull out clothes from a drawer or closet, the light, faded scent is better than no scent at all- to me.

I have been using the free & sensitive downy for years without issue. The last bottle I bought, though, had the consistency of water and has not had the same softening effect as in the past. Bummer. Anyone have recommendations for lower-chemical alternatives?

I wanted to get rid of the wrinkles and this does the job. Also I've very sensitive skin so I need the non fragrant products. This is a perfect match to my laundry detergent so far. Costs is just right. I highly recommend this product especially to those who are very prone to allergies and stuffs.

I LOVE that this fabric softener has no scent and is made specifically for sensitive skin. It works JUST LIKE the regular Downy... which means its great! You clothes come out of the wash just smelling fresh and clean (no overwhelming scents!). That's all that matters!

It made my clothes noticeably softer against my skin, and did not interfere with my tropical laundry detergent scent. Will definitely be using this going forward.

I l've using it on everything it works so great. I have even gone and rewashed clothes I only wish it was a bigger bottle.

I can be a bit sensitive to fabric softeners, so I love that this one doesn’t irritate my skin or affect my allergies. The fact that there’s no scent is perfect because it won’t compete with soaps. The packaging is very simple and effective. This bottle is not too bulky, has a good size handle for easy pouring, a well designed spout that eliminates splashing, and an easy to cap that doubles as the measuring cup. A small amount goes a long way so that there’s not a lot of waste. That small amount makes my towels and sheets incredibly soft.

It leaves the clothes and towels soft and gentle on our skin with no added fragrance to irritate. I love the fact that our towels are still absorbent when using this softener as that has been an issue with other fabric softeners.
