My go to fabric softener! It keeps my clothes feeling soft and protects the fabric! I like how it is fragrance free because the detergent I use has enough fragrance alone. It also is gentle on skin and won’t cause a reaction in sensitive individuals!

Hypo-allergenic fabric conditioner doing all the things I love the best when doing laundry....having soft clothes without the fear of harsh chemicals getting in the way and affecting my children's gentle skin. Well, Downy Free and Gentle does all of that. Clothes come out fluffy soft. So, I would recommend it. The reason that I only am giving it 4 stars out of 5 is that it does leave some residue in the fabric softener dispenser in my clothes washing machine.

It leaves the clothes and towels soft and gentle on our skin with no added fragrance to irritate. I love the fact that our towels are still absorbent when using this softener as that has been an issue with other fabric softeners.

I have always been a fan of Downy and have used it for many many years to keep my clothes in good shape! Downy smells great and I've never experienced an issue with their products. But this new version of Downy without the dyes and perfumes takes the cake. How can you pass this up? My kids have sensitive skin thanks to my bloodline and I have even been able to use this downy fabric softener with their clothes too! They have not had a rash or any type of reaction as of yet. I'm really happy that I can wash all of our stuff from towels, stuffed animals, kids clothes, my clothes, the husband's clothes, and everything in between with this one fabric softener. I am so happy that Downy has made this product. It has helped me be the best mom I can be!

We were on the hunt for a new one and we found our solution with Downy Free & Gentle! It protects my little girl and does an amazing job helping our clothes look and feel great!

I am not sure if it's the bottles I bought, but the product was not like liquid at all. It was this big goopy mess. I tried to put it in my HE washer and it barely left the drawer after the load ran. I thought maybe the first bottle I bought just went bad (can fabric softener do that?). Nope my second bottle was just as bad. After fighting with it for a bit, I finally decided just to pour it down the drain, which took forever you might imagine. I wanted to recycle the bottle. I wish I could post pictures to show the goopy mess. Frustrated as I really like Downy products and it was a huge waste of money.
