With so many different options in the market targeted specifically for your little one, it is easy to be sold on them. Downy free and gentle really does the job for all clothes, but I loved it even more for my baby's clothing. His soft gentle skin needs a match for it, and this product is the one you can trust for your baby. Also my professional work attire, I noticed less wrinkles, with less fade. Being that my work attire can be expensive at times, using this product will keep my clothing going for longer!

He has very sensitive skin but... this product didn’t bother him at all! I’m thrilled to be able to use a fabric softener again. In fact, I’ve been washing everything I can get my hands on! I’m excited to sleep in my freshly washed and Downey softened bedding tonight!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use this item in conjunction woth my detergent because it is a “fabric conditioner” designed for your feel and look better aftet a wash. Upon first use, i like the milky appearance and clean smell. I used 1/2 to 1 cap full for each load. After washing and drying, i did notice that my tops were softer and i found my self throughout the day smelling my clothes. It was as if the downy also enhanced the smell of my detergent as well. I did not See much change in a wrinkle status or fuss, but I don’t normally pay attention to these types of things anyway. I can say items were Definitely softer and not as “crunchy” and rough as usual. I would recommend trying the product if you’re looking for that type of effect. I gave it up for because I do not feel it is in essential part of my laundry experience but the product is pretty impressive.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I loved using the downy free & gentle on my laundry. It left my clothes super soft without too much of an overpowering smell. My brother has sensitive skin and the fabric softener did not irritate his skin at all. I was able to use a capful to soften my entire load of laundry. It didn’t leave any gross residue in my laundry machine and completely softened my clothes. I will definitely repurchase and use it as my staple fabric softener!

I have a 5 month old and I use all free and clear and I’m so glad I got this because now everything is perfect for her little clothes. Her clothes come out stain free! No smell and super simple to use and if you’re wondering fabric conditioner is the same as fabric softener. ;)

I’ve used Downy Fabric Softener for 40 years, so when I tried this, I thought it would be great. However, it poured out thick as mud and stuck to the sides of my washer drum. It gunked up my fabric softener attachment, too. I was very surprised and disappointed. I do not recommend this product and will never buy it again. Sorry, P

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m a loyal user of Downy and have been using it for years. I think it’s the best fabric softener available. The first time I tried Downy Free & Gentle, I used it while laundering my sheets and a blanket. My bedding came out of the dryer soft and static free. I do have to admit that I missed the light, clean scent of my regular Downy fabric softener. With Downy Free & Clear, there is no scent or added color. My daughter has very sensitive skin so I tried the softener with her laundry. She has had absolutely no reaction or skin irritation. I’ll stick with my old tried and true Downy April Fresh for my laundry but will definitely be using Downy Free & Gentle with my daughter’s clothing and bedding from now on!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is going to sound crazy, but my French Bulldog has allergies to heavily scented fabric softeners -- I can't use them on his bedding or on any of the blankets and pillows. That's why I'm a huge fan of this fabric softener! It really is scent-free (and it doesn't bother my pup at all), and it does a great job of softening fabrics. My dog loves it and so do I. Also, just so you know, this is a fabric softener -- not a detergent -- so you need to add it to the fabric softener drawer and use it WITH detergent (not alone)!

With a little one in the house with sensitive skin, I usually opt out of fabric softeners but this didn't bother his skin at all. It also made his blankets and towels so soft. I would definitely recommend!
