As my children grew older I would sometimes mix in a little bit of the lavender fabric softener for a gentle scent that they described as nice and relaxing. I love when people compliment us on our good smelling clothing and my family loves the softness of climbing into bed, into the heavenly soft sheets and blankets.

I have always used dryer sheets but after trying Downy Free & Gentle I actually like not having to remember to put the sheet in the dryer. My clothes do not contain an odor which I do not like or cause irritation to my skin.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As someone that has children that are sensitive to certain smells and perfumes I thought Ultra Downy Free & Gentle would be a great product to try. While there is a slight scent to this product, its nothing that will jump out at you; one would have to smell very close to smell it, which smells clean. Once I added Free & Gentle to the water, I was a little concerned as the water looked milky and did not produce any type of bubbles. However, I must say that after the cycle completed the clothes had no scent except a clean, crisp one. Reminded me of when my mother would hang my clothes on the line in the sun. While I personally like a product that has a strong smell to it, and for that purpose won’t be using this product for my clothes; I will be using it for my children as it works perfect for them. I would recommend this product if you or a loved one has such issues as my children with things that are overwhelming with dyes and perfumes.

when i used Downy Free & Senstitive liquid ,i find lot of greasy stains on my T-shirts and Towel . at first ,i think it is the problem of the detergent , but finally ,i put downy and detergent on one my dirty t-shirt at different position .after wash and dry ,i find the stains is from the Downy . .. i do not know why ,the only way ,i drop it and do not buy it again ....

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was very pleasantly pleased with this product. It is scent free which is good plus it left my clothes very soft and comfortable to wear. When I’ve used scented products before it bothered my very sensitive skin but this product was so different because of it having no scent it didn’t bother me at all. Even my towels looked fluffy and felt so soft. I highly recommend this and will be buying it on a regular basis.

I always have to use dye and perfume free products to avoid redness and itching on our skin. Now that I have Downey free and clear fabric softener our clothes have never been softer and that's a huge plus for person's with sensitive skin! Plus with the addition of now having a fabric softener that I am able to use, I can also have the option of line/air drying laundry items without them being scratchy and stiff.

It is especially suitable for people like myself- who enjoy soft, cuddly clothes with no smells attached. I have very sensitive skin so I was delighted that this was free of dyes, perfumes and still left my clothes soft. I had no skin irritation from using this product. I was a bit worried about the lack of scent at first, but it really is wonderful just as it is. I enjoy the soft clothes with no scent or skin irritation.

I tried Downy Free & Gentle with our last loads of laundry. It was a little messy pouring it into the dispenser in my front load washing machine. Pouring straight from the bottle, the liquid dripped from the spout area onto the floor in the process of lifting it up to put the cap back on. Other than that the product is great. Left clothes nice and soft, and no irritation on my child's skin.

My brother has sensitive skin and the fabric softener did not irritate his skin at all. I was able to use a capful to soften my entire load of laundry. It didn’t leave any gross residue in my laundry machine and completely softened my clothes. I will definitely repurchase and use it as my staple fabric softener!

I definitely was skeptical because clean smelling clothes make my clothes feel cleaner in my mind, as strange as that sounds. I was taken aback at how this left my clothes feeling softer, more true to shape, and also left no detectable fragrance other than that of my detergent. I enjoy the fact that it has no dyes! I would definitely be happy to purchase this again, especially if I had a family member with sensitive skin or fragrance related allergies.
