I bought Downy free and gentle fabric softener to use on my grandson's clothes because he has sensitive skin but I use it for everyone's laundry. I like that it's unscented and free of dyes

I love down. You can never go wrong. It's a classic. This is used for my baby who has sensitive skin. It doesn't smell bad if anything smells clean.

The consistency of the liquid is perfect, no dyes or perfumes which makes it perfect for my little one with sensitive skin. No spots left behind on any of my clothing like with some other products. Our family dog (we refer to her as our sons' "little sister"; she kind of rules the house) has terrible allergies. As part of preventative measures, I switched to hypoallergenic detergent and cleaning supplies. I had always used Downy fabric softener in the past but was unaware that a fragrance- and dye-free option was available. As soon as I got my hands on a bottle, I stripped our beds and washed everything. Everything came out of the washer smelling clean but not perfumed, and it is so nice to sleep on SOFT sheets again! Downy Fabric Conditioner is going to be a staple in our house from now on!

So use this with your laundry detergent. it didn't make a huge difference with our clothes. They didn't feel softer. I would not rush to buy this again. I love the look of it..very fresh and clean style!

My towels are actually fluffy! More than with the scented stuff. My clothes feel great. I’ll definitely buy this product. No one in my household suffers from skin sensitivities so I’m not sure if others would react. I used it on my husband’s as well as toddlers clothes and all is well. I’d suggest this to my best friends.

I have not purchased liquid fabric softeners in several years due to the over bearing scents. Both my husband and I have allergies. Although laundry detergents have been "free & clear", the fabric softeners seemed to be increasing in scents & it was becoming more difficult to find one that did not cause an allergic reaction. I was pleasantly surprised to find that not only did I not have an allergic reaction, but that my clothes were softer and more fluffy. My clothes not only smell clean, but now they also feel clean. I would recommend this to anyone, especially those who cannot use scented products.
