What I realized though, is that I missed the fresh scent of laundry! So, if you have allergies or sensitive skin...this is perfect for you.

My husband has sensitive skin and after using this he did not have any kind of skin irritation like when I used another brand of fabric softener. I am really glad that I had the chance to try this product because now I know that I will go out and buy it because it does not bother my husbands sensitive skin.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am really not fond of this product. I have very hard well water with a strong iron scent. I was recalling hoping it would remove the smell but it didn’t. It also didn’t leave my clothes as soft as I would like for them to be.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m a loyal user of Downy and have been using it for years. I think it’s the best fabric softener available. The first time I tried Downy Free & Gentle, I used it while laundering my sheets and a blanket. My bedding came out of the dryer soft and static free. I do have to admit that I missed the light, clean scent of my regular Downy fabric softener. With Downy Free & Clear, there is no scent or added color. My daughter has very sensitive skin so I tried the softener with her laundry. She has had absolutely no reaction or skin irritation. I’ll stick with my old tried and true Downy April Fresh for my laundry but will definitely be using Downy Free & Gentle with my daughter’s clothing and bedding from now on!

My clothes came out soft, but yet did not irritate my skin, like some fabric softener's. This product would be great for baby's and their sensitive skin. No harsh chemicals to irritate baby's tender skin.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was excited and a little nervous to try this product. I've always used Downy as a conditioner, but it says has had a scent in it. So, this is the first time I've used a scentless conditioner, and I am so impressed. Our clothes and blankets are so soft! And more surprisingly you don't even miss the scent. Plus, there is the huge factor that is as no dyes and perfumes, so it's better for my family. I believe my family has been sold, and this is our new conditioner!

A little went a long way and I feel like this fabric softener could really help me stretch my dollar. Helped prevent fading and static cling as well. Highly recommend it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] While our household generally doesn’t use fabric softener, my wife and I decided to give it a shot, because our clothes were getting a little faded and rough. This was our second time using a fabric softener, and first time using ultra Downey. Overall, I can’t give it a bad or great review. I honestly did not notice a difference, even after a few loads. Maybe this is something I would have to use for a long period of time to see better results, but if I am spending my hard earned money, I may just stick to my laundry pods.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our home typically uses softner sheets. We tried out the Downy liquid softner. It worked well and we could tell no big difference between the liquid and the sheets we normally use. I believe into be a good product. However the only issue I can see is the cost comparison. The dryer sheets we by gets us by for quite awhile, we use 2-3 sheets per load. Just from what we used the past 4 washes I can't see it lasting nearly as long as our dryer sheets. As far as the product itself goes however, it does work and do as advertised on the bottle. Thanks for the opportunity to try the softer!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this fabric conditioner! I cannot use anything else because it irritates my family’s skin. This does not irritate anyone skin and it has a very light, pleasant scent. Our clothes are soft and we have no more static cling! Downy free and gentle seems to be the best of both worlds as I can have soft, pleasant smelling clothes without the skin irritation. Also, I prefer a liquid fabric conditioner over dryer sheets. They just seem to do a better job.
