I have used Downy Free and Sensitive for about 5 years and love it. Especially since my granddaughter has very sensitive skin and dermatologist recommended using only "free" products. Preparing for retirement and fixed income, I stocked up and needed to store extras in my garage which can get quite hot (Phoenix in summer!). I just opened a container that had been stored for about 8 months and it is SOLID. I've tried everything.....scooping out a bit and adding water and shaking and mixing, but it is still lumpy. What can I do? Can this be salvaged or will it never mix and damage my laundry? Please advise.

With so many different options in the market targeted specifically for your little one, it is easy to be sold on them. Downy free and gentle really does the job for all clothes, but I loved it even more for my baby's clothing. His soft gentle skin needs a match for it, and this product is the one you can trust for your baby. Also my professional work attire, I noticed less wrinkles, with less fade. Being that my work attire can be expensive at times, using this product will keep my clothing going for longer!

I like this fabric softener because its smell is not too much strong. It brings me a feeling of comfort. It really softens our clothes, especially sweaters or fur coats as you can truly feel it when you touch the clothes. A minus point is the fragrance doesn’t last long.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Honestly, I do not usually get excited about laundry detergent. I typically grab whatever dye-free/ fragrance-free stuff is on sale and move along. I almost never use fabric softener. This has changed ALL of that. My clothes (and my sensory kid's clothes) are noticeably softer and brighter and they smell "good clean." Not a fragrance but clean. A little goes a long way, which is great with summer coming and an active tween. I am so happy that I was selected to try this, or I doubt I would have. Give it a try. I suspect you might love it, too!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was interested in trying this product because my daughter has sensitive skin, but a lot of other detergents/fabric softeners seem to lose their effectiveness when you get into the whole “free of this, free of that” blends. I was happy that this had all the great clothing conditioning I love about regular downy, but without anything that might irritate my daughter’s sensitive skin. I was excluding fabric softener from her washes until now.

This free & gentle Downy is just what I need! It keeps my clothes soft and our blankets cuddly without the irritation to our skin! Having a well, with seriously hard water, fabric softener is a must!!! So glad to have found something to use in my laundry routine again! Our daughter noticed the difference right away!!!

I decided to give Downy Liquid fabric softener a try and I will NOT go back! It made my normally stiff clothes super soft and clean smelling. I didn’t even have to use that much of it. My husband also noticed a difference and asked what I did differently. Wish I would have switched a long time ago!

Our family dog (we refer to her as our sons' "little sister"; she kind of rules the house) has terrible allergies. As part of preventative measures, I switched to hypoallergenic detergent and cleaning supplies. I had always used Downy fabric softener in the past but was unaware that a fragrance- and dye-free option was available. As soon as I got my hands on a bottle, I stripped our beds and washed everything. Everything came out of the washer smelling clean but not perfumed, and it is so nice to sleep on SOFT sheets again! Downy Fabric Conditioner is going to be a staple in our house from now on!

snuggle changed and i could no longer use it, so decided to give downy a try and was happy to see one didn't smell and that was sensitive. people like me with sensitive skin have problems finding products to buy and use. thank you for thinking about all your customers making products that give people more choices. please think about making this product in a larger bottle. so far i am really happy with this product.
