[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have heard all about liquid fabric softeners, but have always used the regular old dryer sheets. I decided to give Downy Liquid fabric softener a try and I will NOT go back! It made my normally stiff clothes super soft and clean smelling. I didn’t even have to use that much of it. My husband also noticed a difference and asked what I did differently. Wish I would have switched a long time ago!

I love this product, but often I am unable to open the lid when my arthritis is bothering me. If this design flaw is not corrected, I will have to find a different product. Because no matter how much I like it ... If I can't open to top, I can not use it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think the downy fabric conditioner is a must have. It is free of scents, perfumes, and dyes which makes it great for people with allergies. It made my clothes feel so soft and I wasn’t worried about them stretching. It was nice to use a product that didn’t make me sneeze or break out in hives like some have.

In the early morning before I was fully awake, I poured a capful of fabric softener (Downey Free) directly onto the clothes thinking it was the detergent. Not thinking this was a big problem, I washed and dried the load and then found fabric softener stains all over my favorite clothes. If anyone knows of a way to remove these stains, please tell me.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use this item in conjunction woth my detergent because it is a “fabric conditioner” designed for your feel and look better aftet a wash. Upon first use, i like the milky appearance and clean smell. I used 1/2 to 1 cap full for each load. After washing and drying, i did notice that my tops were softer and i found my self throughout the day smelling my clothes. It was as if the downy also enhanced the smell of my detergent as well. I did not See much change in a wrinkle status or fuss, but I don’t normally pay attention to these types of things anyway. I can say items were Definitely softer and not as “crunchy” and rough as usual. I would recommend trying the product if you’re looking for that type of effect. I gave it up for because I do not feel it is in essential part of my laundry experience but the product is pretty impressive.

As a dye-free, perfume-free family, I was hesitant to include a national name brand in to my laundry routine. In the past 9 years I have mostly used organic, smaller batch products. I didn't dare introduce something to my daughter who seems to be allergic to everything! I actually love this product. No static cling in the dryer and my towels are soft and fluffy. While it does not make the clothes smell of perfume, it does seem to help keep my perfume free detergent from getting a bit stinky. I will look for this product in the future. Oh, and my daughter's sheets were washed with it...no problems whatsoever. My only complaint is that the bottle says to shake it. If you shake then pour, the liquid spills out beyond the spout. I appreciate receiving this free sample to make me a customer! I never would have tried it otherwise!

My daughter has sensitive skin and allergies so this was a go to product for my household to keep clothes looking newer without compromising our health. It was excellent at preventing static cling and left our clothes with a nice soft feel.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was interested in trying this product because my daughter has sensitive skin, but a lot of other detergents/fabric softeners seem to lose their effectiveness when you get into the whole “free of this, free of that” blends. I was happy that this had all the great clothing conditioning I love about regular downy, but without anything that might irritate my daughter’s sensitive skin. I was excluding fabric softener from her washes until now.
