[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Having a baby at home makes it so much harder to use conditioner that will not irritate it’s sensitive skin and I ended up washing his baby clothes serperatly from our clothes. Until now: Downy Free and Gentle Liquid Fabric Conditioner makes my life so much easier. I can now wash everything together, using laundry detergent and a conditioner without worrying that my sons skin will be irritated. As a parent, things can get pretty busy and especially a task like laundry should not take a lot of time in a busy schedule. Having to load only one instead of two machine loads of laundry, I can now do only one load and save so much time. Downy Free and Gentle Fabric Conditioner does not irritate skin, smells fresh and clean and makes clothes feel so soft. I would recommend this product especially to people (and babies) with really sensitive skin, because this conditioner would not let you down.

Our doctor recommended we switch our fabric softener to one that was free of dyes. We tried Downy Free and Sensitive and his rashes went away and our clothes are still coming out nice and soft. It is free of dyes and perfumes and is gentle on both the clothes and delicate skin of your family since it is hypoallergenic. It is easy to use as you just add it to the load before washing. After drying, your clothes come out soft and fluffy without any added scent or residue.

I have not purchased liquid fabric softeners in several years due to the over bearing scents. Both my husband and I have allergies. Although laundry detergents have been "free & clear", the fabric softeners seemed to be increasing in scents & it was becoming more difficult to find one that did not cause an allergic reaction. I was pleasantly surprised to find that not only did I not have an allergic reaction, but that my clothes were softer and more fluffy. My clothes not only smell clean, but now they also feel clean. I would recommend this to anyone, especially those who cannot use scented products.

This product kept my clothes very soft just like the original Downy, but without the real heavy smell of Downy. Ultra Downy Free & Sensitive Liquid has saved me on my laundry days. I have severe allergies to fragrances such as perfumes, several detergents, grass, mold spores, trees and many other smells, so when I found your product years ago, I have used nothing else sense then. This free & gentle Downy is just what I need! It keeps my clothes soft and our blankets cuddly without the irritation to our skin! Having a well, with seriously hard water, fabric softener is a must!!! So glad to have found something to use in my laundry routine again! Our daughter noticed the difference right away!!!

My 1st load were blankets what I noticed initially was the faint soapy smell when I opened the bottle. That was surprising to me because I thought it was scent free. The blankets felt the same after washing not softer but there was still a faint scent of soap. My 2nd load were delicates again no change in softness and the scent was there. The 3rd load included just regular daily clothing and no change again. I probably have to use it a few more times to see if it stops fading, stretching and pilling. My husband and daughter both have sensitive skin and no reaction for either of them. That itself is a plus for me!
