[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I washed 3 loads with this product to see if therr would be any difference. My 1st load were blankets what I noticed initially was the faint soapy smell when I opened the bottle. That was surprising to me because I thought it was scent free. The blankets felt the same after washing not softer but there was still a faint scent of soap. My 2nd load were delicates again no change in softness and the scent was there. The 3rd load included just regular daily clothing and no change again. I probably have to use it a few more times to see if it stops fading, stretching and pilling. My husband and daughter both have sensitive skin and no reaction for either of them. That itself is a plus for me!

Really really, really disappointed in this product...Did I say I was really disappointed. I got it home and it poured out in clumps, tried shaking it and still in clumps, feels more like lotion and has a faint paint smell to it! Throwing it away. Thanks Downy, I don't have the money to throw away like this, have always loved your products, til now!

I tried this product on several different wash settings and all loads came out with the same softness and i absolutely had no itching or rash on my skin.

As a dye-free, perfume-free family, I was hesitant to include a national name brand in to my laundry routine. In the past 9 years I have mostly used organic, smaller batch products. I didn't dare introduce something to my daughter who seems to be allergic to everything! I actually love this product. No static cling in the dryer and my towels are soft and fluffy. While it does not make the clothes smell of perfume, it does seem to help keep my perfume free detergent from getting a bit stinky. I will look for this product in the future. Oh, and my daughter's sheets were washed with it...no problems whatsoever. My only complaint is that the bottle says to shake it. If you shake then pour, the liquid spills out beyond the spout. I appreciate receiving this free sample to make me a customer! I never would have tried it otherwise!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using Downy Free and Gental liquid fabric softener for the first time over the past few weeks. I have to say I am sold! I have, for the most part, always used dryer sheets, no more. I used Downy for all laundry loads, clothing, towels, bedding etc. Everything came out soft and comfortable. I used the both the dryer and air dried my laundry. The items I air dried were just as soft as items dried in the dryer. This has never been the case for dryer sheets and I don’t miss the random finding dryer sheets stuck in clothing or blankets at a later date. I will say, I was a little worried about the Downy liquid fabric softener behing scent free (I’ve always like scented laundry products)but I never once missed it. So excited to have a new product I will be putting on my shopping list ... Downy Free and Ckear fabric softener.

After drying, your clothes come out soft and fluffy without any added scent or residue.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use this item in conjunction woth my detergent because it is a “fabric conditioner” designed for your feel and look better aftet a wash. Upon first use, i like the milky appearance and clean smell. I used 1/2 to 1 cap full for each load. After washing and drying, i did notice that my tops were softer and i found my self throughout the day smelling my clothes. It was as if the downy also enhanced the smell of my detergent as well. I did not See much change in a wrinkle status or fuss, but I don’t normally pay attention to these types of things anyway. I can say items were Definitely softer and not as “crunchy” and rough as usual. I would recommend trying the product if you’re looking for that type of effect. I gave it up for because I do not feel it is in essential part of my laundry experience but the product is pretty impressive.

However, I do purchase a lot of baby clothes at consignment sales and they’ve usually been worn and washed previously and it shows. I was hoping this product might help those items look a little better, but their condition seems to remain the same.

I bought this product because I have asthma and perfumes bother me. But the smell on my clothes after I Used this product was such a bad, strong smell. I actually had to throw them away. What a waste of money. I smelled the bottle afterward and my husband did to and the smell was horrible. May not have perfume but has something worse (pungent smell).

Ultra Downy Free & Sensitive Liquid has saved me on my laundry days. I have severe allergies to fragrances such as perfumes, several detergents, grass, mold spores, trees and many other smells, so when I found your product years ago, I have used nothing else sense then.
