I was reluctant to purchase a printer that relied on liquid ink, thinking the ink would evaporate or be a mess when I tried to fill the ink canisters. In fact, it was so easy that I had to call HP and make sure that I'd done correctly. The ink vials have a notched opening that perectly fits the canisters - there's no way to spill the ink. The test sheet was perfect for color alignment, and we're very pleased with this printer.

This was the best HP setting up I have ever used. Hooked wifi within seconds. No other has been able to do that. Time will tell. For the price and amount of ink coming with it, its a good buy

I was hesitant to buy this after my old reliable HP laser jet no longer had cartridges made. I thought I’d spill the ink bottles, I always dread instruction manuals written by techies, and I wanted my old printer back. But this is a jewel. Super easy to set up, wireless, and the bottles are spill- proof. I love how easy it is to run and forgiving when I can’t get the paper in quick enough- it gives me time w/o a blaring blinking “you’re out of time” light going on. I highly recommend.

I called HP when I needed a new printer because I had one in my home for years and I had worked with HP printers on many job sites. They are easy to set up and use immediately.

A dissapointment to find out that the paper loader is on the outside and other functions as double side printing is a annoyance. Apparently I picked a printer for kids. No USB cable came with the printer, and it took almost two days to get it operational.

We recently purchased the HP Smart Tank 5102, and my wife and I are very happy with it. Setup was straightforward and user-friendly, even for those who aren’t especially tech-savvy. One small tip during installation: after inserting the printhead cartridge, make sure to close the blue latch above it. If you don’t, the setup process can stall. It’s a minor detail, but worth noting to avoid frustration. The only real limitation we’ve noticed is the paper tray capacity, which holds about 25 sheets. For light home use this isn’t a major issue, but it’s something to be aware of if you print frequently. That said, the strengths of this printer far outweigh that shortcoming. The large-capacity ink tanks are a huge advantage, reducing the need for frequent refills or reliance on HP Instant Ink subscription. We also really appreciate the ability to print remotely from anywhere with internet access, which adds a lot of convenience. Finally, the design is clean and modern—it fits nicely into our home without looking bulky or out of place. Overall, this is a reliable, cost-effective printer with excellent features for everyday use. Highly recommended.

Setting up the printer to operate wirelessly was a bit of a problem amd the instructions could be improved. It would help if you realized some 82 yr old men still have to set up their own equipment and simple step by step directions are a God send. The printer prints color and black and white well and my wife is happy when I print her quilt patterns for her in color. Look forward to multi years without having to buy additional ink and change out cartridges. The next test will be printing out our 2025 income tax returns

The HP Smart Tank is nice, the print quality isn’t as good as my last printer. Some of the parts seem cheaply designed and the display system isn’t as user friendly.

I am not sure I am glad that I bought this one. It worked at first but after about a couple of weeks it now will not print the files on my computer that I want to make a copy of.

Installation was long and convoluted. Print time was unacceptably, long especially for a miniscule Excel document - hours in this case. Returned the 5101 and purchased an Office Jet Pro 9135e.
