I had bought this model years ago and that first one keeps working perfectly in my home country. Having moved abroad, I recently bought the new version and I am utterly disappointed. Indeed, the cup filter, that now comes with a removable perforated filter get stuck systematically after the 1st coffee and I have to extract this perforated filter to clean it under running water all the time, which completely ruins the interest of this machine.

It has one and two cup filters and one for your pods. The measuring scoop make it so easy to use it comes with additional accessories. You can use with one cup or 2 coffee shots for the extra boost of the day. The steam wand makes it super easy to frothing or steaming milk. The quick start guide makes it easy to set up, use and clean.

Espresso brewing is great but frothing doesn't work well.

This coffee machine is not worth any money, been cleaning service since we got from store and she make of 1 oz of coffee, if someone wants it I will ship it to you or it's going to scrap.

I bought this at an electronics store while living in Japan. This was 4 years ago. It still works great. Still worked after being shipped with all our stuff when we moved back to the US about a year ago. Makes delicious expresso and froths milk very well. I think mine might need replacement soon as the press randomly decides not to work on occasion. Nevertheless, it has lasted a lot longer than I anticipated and I will definitely buy another one from De'Longhi when replacement is needed.

Hello , I received it as a gift , sort of second hand . I didn't get a brochure or instructions on cleaning and descaling. The water in my location is hard and has lime scale. The coffee is luke warm . Can you advise please on how to get it hotter

Setup is not that hard as long as you read the instruction manual and follow the steps listed. I cannot stress this point strong enough, all issues getting your first cup of the best espresso you will have can be minimized or eliminated all together by reading and following the manual. The small footprint of the EC885M takes up little room on my counter. This is great since modern kitchens tend to have little counter space with all the gadgets that are out there. Once set up the machine is extremely easy to use. Simply measure out the right amount of coffee using the provided accessories, press the appropriate button, and voila, you have your espresso. I can tell you that the machine produces a smooth, steady flow of espresso that is the best tasting espresso I have ever had. De'Longhi has hit a home run with this machine. You get great tasting espresso while saving money since you will never want to get it from a coffee shop again. I highly recommend the De'Longhi EC885M. The espresso from it will warm your soul too.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First of all the size of this machine is great. It's half the size of my keurig! The set up was a little frustrating until I watched a video on it. Then it was so easy to use. The water tank is easy to fill and the machine is easy to clean. The filter holder takes some work and muscle but I'm hoping it will get easier. The steam wand is great to make lattes and also to get hot water for americanos. I was so surprised at how great the drinks taste. I'm so happy with this compact yet powerful machine!!
