The Dedica is the best at doing what it is designed for. Making espresso. I tried two other brands and ended up replacing my old Dedica with - a new Dedica. Because it makes PERFECT espresso.

As a first time espresso maker purchaser, I believe I picked the right one. Compact, user friendly easy to clean machine. Warms up quickly and makes a decent espresso. I never use the frothing wand so I can't leave an opinion on that.

This machine is exactly what I expected! It is enough for me and my husband, we are coffee lovers! And the taste of coffee due to this machine is so soft and delicious! It is easy to froth and steam milk for cappuccino! I really love this purchase!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I do not have a lot of counter space and the narrow width is truly impressive for any kitchen appliance, especially an espresso machine. It's deep and narrow profile make it ideal when you are limited on space. Besides the fact that this can fit almost anywhere, it is also beautiful to look at; it shines and immediately catches my eye when I enter the kitchen. The water tank is great and makes the perfect amount every time. I did run just water the first time running the machine. The machine is as loud as any other espresso machine I have owned I the past which is completely normal and to be expected. The steam wand is fun to use. I turn it on and run it for a second with an empty cup before frothing my milk. I have completely fallen in love with cappuccinos and lattes thanks to this machine. This also makes a beautiful espresso with the crema you would expect from a coffee shop. I love that the tamper is included along with a box of de-scaler. A scoop along with a single and double shot filter are all included as well. The only thing not included is a frothing cup.

What I like about De'Longhi Dedica Arte - Produces high quality steamed milk and espresso What I don't like about De'Longhi Dedica Arte - After 2 to 3 drinks you'll have some wait time before you can make another (to be expected with non commercial appliances, but would be a luxury feature to resolve this) Things that entertained me about bad reviews of De'Longhi Dedica Arte (cause you can tell these people were never baristas before): Problem 1. I saw complaints that the pods come out of the portafilter if you knock it against something. This is supposed to happen so you can clean the brewer with the cleaning portafilter and so you can better clean both the pods and portafilter areas. Solution 1. What you need is called a knock box, which is just a box with a bar in it. It's what baristas use to knock the espresso out of the pod without knocking the pod out of the portafilter. If you don't have a knock box, you can use a bowl or tupper ware and a butter knife over that to knock it against and have the pod land in the bowl or tupperware. Hold the knife while you do this. Problem 2. I saw complaints that the steam wand was too loud. I'm not trying to gaslight you, maybe you did get a product with an issue to it. But my perspective is this steam wand is perfect. You just might not know how to use it. Solution 2. Basically the issue is you need to think of it as you are building up pressure in the pitcher like a tea kettle, and you have to relieve that pressure by making the steam wand hiss at the beginning to take pressure out of the steam being introduced to the milk. Then you need to keep just the first inch or so in the milk in the pitcher (right where there's a line on the tip so you can unscrew and deep clean it). You want to make sure not only you're not too deep, but also if you were to imagine 2 perpendicular lines like a cross over your pitcher, I like to keep my milk wand in the top left section of that imaginary spot. Right there with a tilt of about 45 degrees is where I find my milk vortex and after my initial hissing at the beginning there is not much sound. Problem 3. People were upset that when you close the portafilter of espresso in the machine after you pack it, the machine moves easily as you try to shut that. This is because if you made the machine too heavy people wouldn't be able to easily move it, and I bet there would be a lot of complaints about that. It would definitely inconvenience me on the clean up. Solution 3. As I am placing my packed portafilter into the espresso machine, I put my other arm on top of the machine as I close it to hold it down, like I'm posing for my old school photos.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Delonghi Dedica Arte Espresso Machine is exactly what I needed. It is small and doesn't take up much counter space in our kitchen. But it's small size doesn't stop it from making great coffee. The unit came packaged well, and arrived in perfect condition. It's modern look fits well with our design aesthetic. As I said, it isn't overly tall, so it can be pushed under our overcounter cabinets, saving precious space. Functionally, it works well, and the controls are intuitive, even for novice espresso drinkers. The espresso comes out hot but not too hot (a problem in my last machine) and the milk frother is easy to use while being very effective. The warmer works effectively as well. All the utensils that come with the maker are heavy duty and high quality. It comes with everything you need, so don't fear that you'll need to shell out more money to get up and drinking. The water reservoir is removable, making it easy to fill. Too, it is fairly easy to clean, and it usually doesn't need much more than a quick wipe down with a wet cloth. Lastly the instructions are very clear, and offers the special bonus of how to make specialty drinks, which is fantastic if you are a newcomer to home espresso making…like me! Delonghi makes so many great products, and I've been delighted with all of those I own (from a crockpot to a radiant heater, to now, this espresso machine). My daughter bought this machine for me two years ago. She has a large maestro Delonghi and thought this smaller unit would be perfect for my individual use. It worked great for six months then it died. A few months later, I decided to contact support. I spent a lot of time on the phone with two different support people, who tried all kinds of things to get it to work. Nothing worked. Finally they concluded the pump was out. This was November 2021. I sent in all the documentation etc and have yet to hear anything. I would not do business with Delonghi.

I provide this context because this product is one that I think is great for beginners and experts alike! First, let's talk about how perfectly compact this is while still making  amazing espresso. It does not take up a lot of counter space and provides amazing quality beverages! It's a gorgeous machine. Absolutely stunning. I have already received compliments on how fabulous this machine looks in our kitchen! It is an incredibly durable product. We have made numerous types of drinks and it has withheld the same high quality with each performance. The instructions provided are amazing. There is a quick start guide filled with very detailed pictures as well as the standard booklet with black and white instructions. Both of these contributed to the ease of use of this machine.  This machine only takes a quick moment to heat up and it's ready to go! It has three different filters. One for single shots, one for double shots and the third is for pods. The ability to use pods makes the product even easier to use and does not disrupt the quality one bit. It also holds a lot of water which I found very impressive.   Now let's talk taste! Yum!!! It created such a perfectly colored and flavored espresso. Delicious. I love that the quick start guide has visuals and descriptions of what your coffee should look like coming out of the machine. It also has pictures of what it should not look like and provides directions on how to troubleshoot. I love this addition to the directions and it was incredibly helpful to learning how to use this product!  There is of course a steam spout feature for frothing which has a very brief learning curve. But give yourself about five minutes and you will be a pro! I find that the steam spout heats up very quickly as well.  I even found the cleaning process to be super easy and painless. It comes with solution to assist with the cleaning process which I appreciated. I am highly impressed with this machine! Easy to use! Easy to clean! Delicious beverages! And looks great on your counter! Whether you are a skilled pro or just learning your way around creating espresso beverages, this is everything you could ask for in an espresso machine!

It is slim, doesn't take up a ton of counter space, looks modern, and is SO easy to use. I like that the water reservoir comes completely out so you aren't spilling water everywhere while trying to fill the back of the machine. That's a huge plus for me. I also love the simplicity of the design and that it didn't take hours to figure out. The frothing attachment is a huge bonus, because no latte is complete without frothy milk on top. The only tricky part was figuring out how to perfectly line up and secure the grounds attachment. Other than that, we can't wait to have lattes all winter long without having to leave

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was very excited to finally use this espresso machine, but some parts about it really disappointed me… To start off, the machine was unbelievably loud whenever it performed a task, and the portafilter was extremely difficult to put into place when I was ready to make the drinks. But on the plus side, the machine's design is very well made. It's very slim and a nice size, so it won't get in the way of other daily tasks. The final product of the espressos were great and high quality. In the end, I can only give it three stars because of the noise and the difficulty with the portafilter.
