Having been a barista for the past 10 years I am thrilled to find such an awesome little espresso machine for home. The small footprint is perfect for my kitchen, easy operation and runs surprisingly quiet! (oh yeah, makes a great shot of espresso, good crema)

No major complaints. Can produce OK espresso with no upgrades. Can produce very good espresso if you upgrade to an unpressurized portafilter and you have a solid grinder that can produce true espresso quality grinds. The only issue is that the portafilter is difficult to lock in place without also gripping the machine to keep it from moving which I find slightly annoying. For the price it's hard to beat though. Recommended.

I like the company and I believe in it , however this machine is NOT making the espresso with a nice rich crème. I have gone into the menu and altered the temperature . I have used three of my fav beans . I grind fresh daily. I have altered the fine / course , I have tampered the ground beans hard medium and light . I have had two previous machines with this company , I don't think of myself as an expert , however I am certainly not a rookie . The company has responded to my questions but at this juncture I am not satisfied with my Christmas present to myself . I am uncertain what I will do. And this email arrived today!

This is my second DeLonghi. My first, lasted a very long time, due to the quality of the build. I never considered another brand when it was time for replacement. This new Dedica is just as well made. This brand delivers a great cup of coffee, whether it is Americano or Espresso. Fair price, great product and helpful customer service. A winner!

We got this machine as a replacement for our De' Longhi 15 bar pump espresso machine at the recommendation of a De'longhi "coffee specialist" because our old model was sold out. This machine is just okay. The auto shut off feature causes a double shot to stop short of a full shot, so I have to run the shot twice to get each cup full. The steaming wand is temperamental and doesn't froth the milk as well as our de'longhi 15 bar pump espresso maker did. The only positive is the smaller design saves room on the counter top.

I was used to a Cafe (GE brand) combo semi manual latte maker but it does after only a year and a half, which irritated be to no end given how much it was. So I'm giving this one a try with a much longer warranty. Longer warranty tells me the company stands by their product, which GE did not with its one year warranty. The outside of this Dedica Arte is plastic (I think) so it feels kind of cheap to the touch, but I didn't buy it for looks/feel. As long as it continues to work great, I'm happy!

Really a 4.8 Stars. Love my Dedica Arte but sometimes there isn't enough steam for the frother. This is so much better than other equal priced machines (rhymes with reveille) in terms of extraction and flavor profile. No problem with the limited features - this is an automatic machine. My only issue is sometimes (1 out of 8) the steam stops when frothing milk. No big deal - close the valve wait 5-10 seconds until the light stop blinking then go. Usually, plenty of steam and control to froth milk for a latte. Already gone through a cleaning cycle - easy as can be if you just look at the water tank for instructions. Can see this as a long term item on my coffee bar.

The Dedica is the best at doing what it is designed for. Making espresso. I tried two other brands and ended up replacing my old Dedica with - a new Dedica. Because it makes PERFECT espresso.

Extremely satisfied. This machine works great, it's sleek and stylish, and it turns out a great cup of espresso. I can't speak to longevity or the descaling process yet, but so far so good.

Very satisfied with the quality of the machine and the espresso it produces. One suggestion: replace aluminum portafilter with stainless steel bottomless portafilter. I did this and quite pleased with the result.
