[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I gave these calming chews to my dog everyday for a month. She's high strung, anxious, and just had a lot of energy. Even after long walks and daily exercise she's plagued with hyperactivity. This leads to anxiousness that manifests as chewing, itching, and other destructive behaviors. At the vet's recommendation we've tried a lot of medications for this. Benadryl, and other prescription medications. They worked but are expensive to maintain. When I got the opportunity to try these, I couldn't pass it up. I was sent this product in review for my honest feedback. I didn't notice much at first, she loved the flavor and looked forward to these daily. It became a routine. The package said for her weight, 2 a day. There was 60 in the bag. So a 30 day supply. After about 3 weeks that's when we noticed that they were working. After her daily exercise and running around, she would actually be tired. Enough to lay down and relax. That was quite unusual for her. Her demeanor changed as the days went on and she was much more relaxed and comfortable. Less paw chewing, less anxiety, and less destructive behavior. I've already ordered these again and plan to continue to use them daily. I'm really glad I had the opportunity to try these because I'm not sure I would've believed the claims otherwise. I hope this review helps other dog owners that are unsure like I was.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was very excited when chosen to receive this product for free in exchange for writing a review because I do have a older dog who has lots of anxiety, especially separation anxiety. We don't like to give him prescription medications because they really effect is tummy and many of them cause him to have diarrhea. But not this one! Dodger did not turn his nose to this treat at all and it was very easy for him to eat it. The treats are soft and smell like some of his fancier treats. I think the best thing for us is that it chills our pup out but doesn't cause him to feel sedated or groggy. I would absolutely get these treats again. I have tried a few dog items in this brand's line and they have consistently been good.

I will say, he absolutely loves the treats...I don't think he could gobble them up any faster!! As for the calming part, they don't seem to change his overall demeanor, however when he takes his afternoon nap, he is out and nothing disturbs him. I was hoping for a little more relaxed demeanor when he was dealing with our big dog, but these treats did not provide that result.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These calming bites smell like beef , my dogs love the smell . I have 2 dogs a Boston terrier and a Boston beagle mix. The full Boston does pretty good when I need to cut his nails but the mix dog she is horrible with cutting nails or traveling. I have tried several things and find that they didn't work. I was a bit skeptical about the calming bites but to my surprise they worked quite well with her. She is always nervouse for several things so I am glad I was able to try these. I give them to her when I cut nails or go to the vet to calm her down, and I haven't had any issue. Keeps her pretty relax and haven't had any allergies. I am very happy with this product

My dogs love the flavor of these treats and coming running when they hear the crinkling of the bag. While the flavor appears to be great, I did notice that they didn't seem to do much for my dogs by way of calming. So I deducted two stars for effectiveness. However, I realize every dog's experience may be different - so don't hesitate to give this product a try.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was excited for my dog to try the Zesty Paws Calming Plus Bites and was really hoping these treats would help to ease his anxiety and make him relax, but while they did seem to take the edge off, they also upset his stomach and caused some digestive issues shortly after eating them. A couple hours after his first dose, he had some diarrhea, vomiting and overall looked clearly uncomfortable. I gave it another shot the next day with only half a dose this time, but unfortunately the tummy issues still persisted. I like the concept and the wholesome all natural ingredients seem thoughtfully chosen but if your pup has a sensitive stomach like mine, you might want to try something else. Every dog is different though, so if yours has a more ironclad stomach, they might work great but I recommend starting with smaller doses first just to see how they react.

My girls just turned a year old and thought it would help keep them calmer when cooped up inside during the rain. They just lounged in their beds! We have also used them when having company over. They always get extra excited when people are over. We got the compliment that they were much calmer than usual!
