I bought this as an Xmas gift for my 3 daughters, ages 3 1/2, 2, and 2. I am divorced and have to keep the girls occupied when they are with me. I considered the other coaster ("Up and Down Coster"), but felt that the girls would out grow it quickly.I am very happy I purchased the Extreme Coaster. Although recommended for ages 3 and up, my twins (2 years old) have no problem with it and can easily manage the steps getting the coaster up and sitting in the coaster. I have it in the basement and plan to keep it there. I rated it a "4" because I wish there was a way to add more track.My only recommendation is that if it's a gift, don't try to assemble it with young ones "helping" you-- it will double your assembly time.

Bought as Christmas gift for grandchildren. They were kept busy inside with other gifts while Extreme Coaster was assembled in the backyard. Secured their bike helmets on their heads and took them outside. "Awesome!", was exclaimed in unison as they rushed to it, where they have since continued to play, virtually non-stop, despite this year's unusually cold temperatures. They have told all their friends about the roller coaster in their backyard, and invited them over to ride. They absolutely love "him", and have named him "Speedy". One evening, my daughter arrived home with our grandchildren and went to retrieve the mail at the same time the neighbor across the street went to retrieve theirs. The grandchildren rushed over, and the neighbor was excitedly told about about their roller coaster, and invited for a ride. Our daughter and the neighbor explained that it would be another time, as it was getting cold and would soon be dark. "Then I don't have much time," was heard and the children went back across the street, and into the house. The next sound heard from the neighbor's mailbox across the street by our daughter and their neighbor, were our grandchildren's squeals of delight from the backyard while riding "Speedy." A brief break was taken to poke a head out the front door to exclaim the coaster ride "was awesome!", then back to Speedy. Extreme Coaster is well-designed and constructed, and easy for children to use independently. It is an excellent toy for keeping children engaged in hours of excitement and fun physical activity. Our grandchildren love it.

my parents bought this for my Triplets 2nd Birthday and we had it outside for their Party, all the kid LOVED this thing! my 2 year olds figured out right away how to line it up on the track and push it up, sit down and then push themselves off for the ride! we had to make sure all the kids knew to steer clear of the bottom of the track but we had no problems and all of the kids at the party (ages 2-4) thought this was the BEST toy ever! seeing my triplets squeal with delight as they rode down gives this a 5 star rating for sure!

I bought this coaster for my twin 3 year old grandkids, because I babysit them everyday and they love being outside. They have sooo much fun on it ! I am a 55 year old female and managed to put it together by myself, without any problems. Our back yard is sloped so I mowed the grass really low and sent them on their way. They get their monies worth going down the coaster and then zoom down through the sloped back yard. I love Step2 products ! They have the little playhouse that was given to us and I bought them the Retro Diner for Christmas. They are all well made, sturdy, safe and the kids play for hours. The only con may be that when the car sits in the grooves at the top of the coaster, it can break loose while the child is climbing into it, but that is probably because it is on the slope. They recommend you don't do that, so I just hold the car until they are safely sitting in it. No problem. I would recommend this fun coaster to anyone. Thank you Step2 ! Another fine product !

I have 5 children and they LOVE this coaster. I have to make them come inside ever since we got it! My husband is deployed to Iraq and I had to put this together myself. But it was very simple and had easy to follow directions. I am a certified welder so the fact that there were no guide holes for some of the screws as some people before me stated, really didn't bother me at all.It is very sturdy and a ton of fun!

Step2 has out done themselves. This is a unique idea and at a great price. My 3 year old loves it so much I have had to pull him off it. He already owns anything a 3 year old needs or wants, so finding something for his 3rd birthday was a challenge. This was a big hit. (Even mom and dad tried it out.) :-) I do wish it would come apart easier to be moved, but even that fact doesn't change my happiness in the product.

Bought this for my grandson's 3rd birthday. They have a small hill in their backyard, so it was set up so that when you come off of the roller coaster hill, you go forward on grass about 4 feet, then the car goes down the hill in their yard. Made for a double hill ride, and the kids all love it!

We bought this for my 6 year olds birthday and he and his 3 year old brother cant get enough of this toy. I have seen other reviews that warned about not being able to move it after it was assembled....I disagree, we are able to move it just fine. I wish they had something like this when I was growing up.

I have a 9, 4, and 2 yr old. I love step 2 products because with 3 boys their products stand the test of time. we got the coster and they all love it. it wasnt that hard to put together and it keeps them out of my hair for hours rain snow or sunny weather.

I bought this looking for something exciting that my 5 grandkids ages, 5 and 4 more that are 2 and under, could grow into and use for a long time. I saw it went up to 75 lbs. I was concerned about safety and was reassured by others rating this item. The kids loved it. I know it says ages 3 and up but even the 2 years olds loved it. As crazy as it sounds, my yorkie kept running up to it to ride...lol. Everyone loves the video of her running back to take a ride. My only problem was getting everyone to wait their turn. I was so nervous the first time that we ran it down with a padded weight. It is sturdy and I saw no safety issues. As of now we are on flat ground. When the kids get bigger, we might put it more on a slope. Putting it together, I wouldn't call it super simple. Luckily my husband had it with no problem. Might have been a bit harder for me on my own. It's not hard to assemble, just putting the pieces in the right order. I wish they had numbers on them to match the diagram. I also liked that it's something different for the kids. I don't know anyone else that has one. Unfortunately, when the kids are little you will get your exercise by bringing the car back up...lol. The 5 yr old could load it up herself. I do wish there was an option to buy another car if ever needed. Hopefully, I don't have to worry about it. But it would be nice to know that was an option. I have no regrets. This is why I am a ratings reader. I saw over 700 reviews and almost all of them were positive.
