Fabulous Fun!

Purchased as gift for my grandchildren. The direct shipping was fabulous...it arrived in perfect shape...sooner than I could have picked it up from a store! The children LOVE it...and the "racetrack" seems to be a big hit with the grandson for matchbox car races as well. All in all...it might be their "favorite" Nana gift ever!

Tricky Assembly

This was a Christmas present for our two grandsons, ages 5 and almost 3. We set it up in the backyard, which slopes enough to give the boys a good long ride. As in the video, they began playing with the car as soon as the wheels were on, and played on the coaster until it got too cold for any adults to be outside supervising.Assembly definitely takes two people, at least one of them good at deciphering picture instructions printed in fuzzy black and white. A power screwdriver is essential, since none of the screwholes are predrilled. And at least one of the bolt holes was missing and had to be drilled out. At almost every step it was necessary for someone to support and align the large pieces, while the other person installed the hardware. Once assembled, it took three adults to move the coaster off the deck and up the hill in the backyard. It would help a lot to have some printed English directions, or at least some warnings about the tricky parts. Half the struggle was trying to understand how the brightly colored plastic pieces corresponded to the black and white pictures.Nevertheless, the struggle was worth it. In Southern California, the kids play outside all year, and this provides a great active alternative to their video games.

Great Ooutdoor Toy But Way Over Priced

I bought this for my Grandson for his 4th birthday. I had been reading the reviews on this toy for over a year and finally decided to puchase it when Step2 offered [...]. My Grandson loves it!! I showed it to him on the computer before I bought it and he said " I need that" (LOL). We have to use it outdoors due to its size and could not assemble it for four weeks after purchasing it due to poor weather in Denver, CO. My son-in-law put it together in less then an hour. It has to stay outside due to its size. It is sturdier then I thought and he has a blast on it. It does not ride good on the grass so we have to put it in the drive way when he is playing with it. Good thing we have a large, long drive way. It can be used easily for children 18 months to at least 6 or 7 years old. If small kids are riding this toy they should wear a helmet. The only down fall is the price. I really think [$] is way over priced for this large piece of plastic. [$] is more realistic. [...] I would have rated this a five star toy had the price been more appropriate. If you buy this toy, you will need some space to store it when not in use. If you keep it on your grass it will kill it.

Smaller than anticipated.

We were very disappointed when we saw the coaster in person. It appears bigger on the website. My 3 year old grandson likes it a lot. His 5 year old cousin is a little less impressed but did seem to enjoy it. I think it's a fun toy but a little overpriced for what it is. We have bought a lot of step2 things for our grandchildren and this is the first time we thought something overpriced.

TOTALLY WORTH IT!

I purchased this for my daughter's 5th birthday. My husband assembled it without much difficulty, power tools were needed! Couldn't use a regular screwdriver. He thought it was a waste of money, UNTIL we put it out at her birthday party. Well, this rollercoaster was a HIT! The parents were amazed that it occupied the kids for HOURS, and the kids were amazed by it in general! I had children from the ages of 3 - 8 on it. At one point a 11 yr old jumped on. But I put a stop to that. It is definately meant for the younger set but the 3 - 8 year olds were loving it. I totally recommend this rollercoaster for HOURS OF FUN! I look forward to my daughter and her friends getting hours of play out of it this summer. Worth the money to me. Warning: you do need to make sure it is being used properly. It is not a dangerous toy at all, but there is potential for someone to get injured if the kids do not use it appropriately. BUY IT!!! [...]

Extreme Fun!

This product was purchased to help my 3 year old son with a developmental delay in gross motor skills, particularly climbing stairs and balance. This toy is PERFECT for him to work on improving his skills without focusing on how hard it is for him to master. Our county reimbursed me for the purchase, since he was part of the county program to help him with his delay. My daughter, who is 5, also loves this toy.

Hard to put together

This coaster is very fun but not so fun to put together. Trying to get the screws in was a nightmare! The holes did not line up and the screws would not tighten all of the way. And there were not enough of all of the screws. Hope it holds together for as long as we'll use it.

4 years old & going strong!

Our kids are now 7 & 4 years old and have been riding this coaster for 4 plus years. All of their friends love it too. I would purchase the next size up if one was manufactured. It has been in our backyard in the Florida sun and it has held up very well. We have it positioned so the riders splash into our swimming pool with the car.

Loved by all

I bought this for my daughter's 2nd birthday and she loves it. It is used multiple times daily. My 2 year old and her 8 yr old sister actually take turns without arguments when using it. Now that's remarkable. We set it up for her birthday party and kids from 14mos to 10 years old enjoyed it. I am happy to say there were no injuries or even close calls. This is a well designed product. We had a Barbie Jeep for my older daughter and in the last month this has gotten more use then that did the 2 years we had it.
