Excellent product, ACTUALLY large enough for 'big kids', and not a terrible assembly. (We've all bought that 'big' product that was chintzy and too small for your kid; This is not one of those!) My 3 and 7 year old have been using this for days straight. They LOVE it! Do NOT use the included written assembly instructions. It is very poorly done and confusing. Search for this product on Youtube and you will find an excellent, detailed, extremely helpful tutorial of the assembly. With the right tools, the video, and no distractions, you'll do it in under 30 minutes. I would also recommend you have enough space if you are using it inside. We have it at one end of our living room moving into our family room: It's probably about 25 feet in length, and that is just about right (longer would be even better though). Rolls fine over carpet and kids have been loving every second!

Good quality product. As noted by others, the instructions could be improved. Also, there were insufficient washers supplied to complete the job. However, our 22 month old granddaughter is enjoying this product, and we believe it is sturdy enough to last until she outgrows it.

This is probably best outdoor toy I've ever seen. Well worth the price, made well, so sturdy and so much fun. 3 year olds enjoy, 8 year olds enjoy it...just enough speed and thrill to keep them entertained. You need a lot of outdoor space (and flat preferably) for this one. We got creative and built a ramp to extend the useable track space. We have some friends whose boys (8 and 6) use it as a slide directly into their pool! Probably not recommended by Step 2 but oh so fun!

We love this toy and have actually owned it twice. They don’t send you nearly enough washers to stabilize the bolts. Buy at least eight more washers and double them up. The way the kids run up the center stair, you want this thing tight! We doubled up each side of each bolt! But we have a line and love it!! I would love the toy to include some sort of bottom wheel to allow transporting it to the street easier.

My boys love this! It's like an overpriced slide that you need a LOT of space for. Luckily my parents had a place we could move this to in their yard because we ran out of space in ours that would allow them to fully use it ( without crashing into our fence). It's fun for ages 2-10.

This toy is absolutely awesome! My kids LOVE it. The only reason I gave 4 stars is because the assembly kit was missing 4 of the essential washers for assembly. As this was a Santa present, we didn’t start putting it together until 11pm and had to scramble for over an hour trying to find parts that would work temporarily. It was a huge hassle, but I am now waiting for my replacement parts to arrive. We managed to make it work, but it could have been a huge disappointment for my kids on Christmas morning.

I'm very excited about the Extreme Roller Coaster but since it will be a Christmas gift for my grandchildren, it is still in the boxes. I did peek into the boxes and I think it will be a sturdy piece of equipment. Step 2 always makes quality products so I am not worried. I can't wait to see their faces when they see it! I gave it a 4 because of it still being in the boxes. I'm unable to make an accurate review at this time.

My kids enjoy this coaster and can spend long periods of time on it. I think it’s a great toy, with a couple exceptions. I had another coaster in the past, and you could assemble it, and take it apart for storage when the kids were done. This is one is very large, as you can see by the dimensions, and that’s very cool, however I did not realize that once you assemble this coaster, it stays one piece. Put together with screws/bolts. So I now have this very large toy that I have to move in and out of the garage which is inconvenient. And by moving it, I’m afraid I’m going to put stress on the joints over time and damage the track. If you had somewhere to use it and it could stay, no big deal I guess. Also, I have to allow a very large/wide path for the kids to use this because the car that came with it is horribly missaligned and after it leaves the ramp it veers sharply to the left and the kids have crashed into things. I wish it just continued on a straight path. I may have to contact the company about it. Overall it’s a fun toy. I don’t know if I would purchase it again, with the issues were having.

We couldn't wait to get the roller coaster for our grandkids, when ist was delivered, we only got box 1 and 3 , we never received box 2 which apparently has everything to put it together. When trying to contact customer service I was put on hold twice, hung up on once, and was asked if I wanted a refund or replacement. I wanted the second box. I don't have the means to repackage the item and take to a FedEx location. Not a happy customer at all. Now I have $300.00 invested in a toy we can't use. Oh, they did tell me they could give me a $50.00 Sam's club credit. Makes me regret having a membership.

Purchased this junk in March 2026. Did not come with all the pieces. But it does come in three boxes. Will update with how long it takes Step 2 Customer “service” to get me the piece if we don't return it. Their Customer service is available M-F 8-5 ET.
