I purchased these for my mother. The pill is enormous! I cut it in half and she still cannot swallow them. She doesn’t have trouble with swallowing pills typically. These are ridiculously large.

The pill is usually large and cannot swallow. I tried cutting in half but it is very scratchy when swallowed. I will return. Bayer does not include image of actual pill size as most on label. I now understand why.

We are over 55 and take Citracal to hopefully keep our bones healthy. We take the Citrate form of Calcium as Calcium carbonate should be taken with meals because it requires stomach acid to dissolve and absorb. Calcium citrate is well absorbed on an empty stomach and does not constipate. We appear to be doing very well with the choice we have made. We are senior, senior citizens.
