I was diagnosed with moderate osteoporosis. I had been taking a calcium supplement with minor improvement. My doctor suggested Citracal because it's acidic and calcium doesn't absorb in a basic environment. I was taking a strong antiacid. It has reversed my osteoporosis.

I was beyond happy to see this product back on the shelves in Sam's Club. This was recommended to me by my cancer surgeon and my family physician. I have no issues taking it and can take it on an empty stomach without worrying if it is helping my bones. My last bone scan showed improvement and that is the best news.

I have osteoporosis and need a calcium supplement this is the one I chose because I don't have to take it with food or I can take it with food and it has the vitamin D that I need for the absorption of the calcium. Two pills is one serving though so I need to take for a day.

I was looking specifically for Calcium Citrate as it is, according to my research, the easiest calcium to digest and does not interfere with other meds. In addition, I believe I am able to take it at any time without food. The pill is a bit large but that has not bothered me. I will buy this as long as Sam's carries it.

Great vitamin for bone loss or osteoporosis. It was recommended by my doctor. My only gripe is the pill is huge and I have to take 4 tablets/day. Other than that, it helps me a lot with my on going osteoporosis treatment.

Works well. It is increasing my bone strength. Dr ordered and approved it.

I actually wanted a higher dosage. I'm having to take 6 pills daily because I need 4000 mg per day. These seem to work fine. I have no complaints. I hope they come in a larger dose soon.

My doctor recommended these but I find them very huge and hard to take. They stick in my throat and I literally dread every evening when I have to take them. I need to find some other way to get this supplement. :(

There are two versions of this vitamin: one with zinc and one without. The website here shows without but when purchasing, it is the one WITH Zinc. Many people have trouble taking zinc, even with food. It makes me puke personally. Poor advertising on Sam’s part for not specifying all vitamins and their dosages of their product. Kind of a must for vitamins!

I wish I hadn't gotten them. They are huge and really too big to comfortably swallow. Would have been so much better had they been smaller and you took 4 instead of two. Or even better, indicating the option that you could take two, twice a day.
