I needed something that was suitable for sensitive skin, and I learned about the "Gillette SkinGuard Razor". This item is specifically designed for sensitive skin so it sounded like the perfect razor for my needs. I decided to order one to test the item out. What makes this Gillette Razor unique is it has a SkinGuard in between the blades. The guard helps to flatten my skin so it doesn't become irritated. The blades are spaced apart at an optimal distance to reduce the amount of pulling and tugging I experience while shaving, which has eliminated my bleeding issues. Before, my skin felt rough and raw due to shaving, and now it feels smooth. My wife loves it! If you have sensitive skin, and you're looking for a new razor, I absolutely recommend trying out the Gillette SkinGuard Razor. Nothing else worked for me before it. Now I can shave everyday and look presentable, and my skin is smooth and bump free. I'm so thankful I learned about this product.

I think my beard is too thick for this razor because I had a hard time with it. It has lubrication before and after the blades. It definitely did not irritate my skin, but it seemed harder for me to get a close shave. Which I think is due to how thick my beard is. I bought this not expecting it to help but i was wrong The smoothest shave I've ever had no tug no nothing I had to double check to make sure it got the hair it was so smooth. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] the razor handle has a nice feel, it's not too thick or too thin. i like that the handle doesn't use batteries and/or vibrate, that always seemed like a gimmick to me. the cartridge mechanism works exactly as it should; easy to change out new razor cartridges. No surprises, and that's a good thing.

There is no tearing or pulling of the hair or skin. the handle is very nicely balanced and weighted perfectly to feel like a precision instrument. I loved the way it glided over my skin on both my face and my head. I was surprised to find the single blade trimmer on the back. (literally surprised, i put my finger on it. watch out.) it was nice to trim the sides with expert precision. overall I was satisfied with this razor as a daily shave instrument. however, it did not get as close as others I have used. it was still very close.

So enter the Gillette Skin Guard. All I have to say is WOW! The way the blade moved across my face with ease made me think that the I would have to go back a couple of times to get the nice close shave I am looking for. I have used Gillette razors for years and this one is the best ever. One pass=close shave. No pain and suffering included. Believe I have found my newest razor.

I won't be changing razors any time soon. This one just didnt do it for me. It seemed to miss large areas while shaving and didn't allow for a precise shave up to my hairline (which I can achieve with the disposable razors)
