[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was not previously familiar with the SkinGuard razors. I've used other Gillette products in the past and have been happy. These razors definitely passed the test and I'd buy them again. The razor offered a close shave with no irritation.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my new favorite razor! I would always get razor bumps under my chin and bottom lip when I shave. I have been using this razor for 2 weeks now and I have not gotten and razor bumps while using it! Also, this is one of the smoothest razors I have used. Normally while shaving over facial hair, razors are ruff and feels like I'm shaving with a blunt object. This razor is smooth as silk while shaving stubble and facial hair. I highly recommend this razor!

I have always been a fan of Gillette quality and the handle is what you come to expect from the years of expertise! Well balanced and weighted with a swivel head design easy to use and clean.. Looks like advanced tech without the batteries or cords:)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a fine product, but I did not notice a huge improvement in my shaving. The improvement is not noticeable. It shaved well and limited the razor burn but no more than a normal Gillette product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had seen the Gillette SkinGuard Razor Handle (and Blade Refill) in the stores previously, but had not tried it/them prior to receiving for review. I find the SkinGuard Razor Handle to be identical in feel and performance to my usual Gillette Fusion Razor Handle (minus the swivel feature of that handle), and actually prefer the silver color of the Gillette SkinGuard Razor Handle. I would both buy and recommend this product.

The blades are very nice and make it easy to purchase more when needed. The close and smooth shave is pleasant with moisturized and glowing skin. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have to say that I like this more than i initially thought that I would. When it first arrived, I noted immediately that it only had two blades...and thought that it would not perform well because of it. I was wrong. This razor is the most comfortable shave I have gotten from a blade...not only the first shave, but the the 40th as well. I glides effortlessly over my face using any kind of shave preparation with no discomfort. It is NOT the closest shave that I have ever gotten from a blade..but it is in the top two thirds. I have noticed that there is allot of lubricant strip surrounding the blade and you have to watch to store the razor blade side up or the lube strip will stick to the surface of the shower stall or counter. I also did NOT notice (until it was too late) that it had one of those trim blades on the back of the cartridge. Because I did not notice, I cut the bottom of my chin. The one thing that I will say that took a star away is that when I went to the store to price this item, it is no cheaper than the 5 and 6 blade systems. I would think that with only two blades they should be cheaper. This makes my value voice scream at me and it a problem with my willingness to purchase this over other shavers

This razor would be great if it were just a regular twin blade. I'm a clean shaven (head) black male. I like for my head to be baby-butt smooth (I hate the feel of stubble) so I shave my head almost everyday. I used to use a Mach 3 (Turbo) but 3 blades caused too much irritation for everyday use so I switched to a safety razor which caused less irritation but caused shaving to be a more tedious and time-consuming task. I eventually ended up trying Dollar Shave Club and settled on the twin blade they offered. It worked great! I could shave my head faster than with a safety razor, but still get a close shave everyday w/ no irritation and razor bumps, but I hated the feeling of the cheap plastic handle so I gave this one a try. It works good, but not quite as close as the DSC. If Gillette made a modern reboot of the twin blade in the mold of the Mach 3 (Turbo) w/ a metal handle and the complimentary stand I guarantee it would be a hit!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was happy with the grip and weight of the product. The look was nice as well. For me personally the functionality was less then desirable. I'm a guy that goes two weeks between shaves and this being only two blades didn't work for me. I shaved half my face with this then had to switch to my normal blade because it was taking much to long with only two blades. If this was a four blade razor I'm sure I would have loved it. Being only two blades I would never buy it.

I appreciate only having to buy refill blades and not the whole razor. I would highly recommend this razor handle! I have written a separate review for the Gillette SkinGuard razor blade.
