I think my beard is too thick for this razor because I had a hard time with it. It has lubrication before and after the blades. It definitely did not irritate my skin, but it seemed harder for me to get a close shave. Which I think is due to how thick my beard is. I received this item for free in exchange for my honest review.

With that said, the Gillette skinguard razor has become essential in my shaving. Between the skin guard and the strip at the top that makes my skin feel soft, i haven't had any issues with razor burn or bumps!

No pulling or tugging at coarse hairs. The technology is unique but until I used it on my 3 day stubble I didn't know how good it was. Smooth, clean, and it just looks nice. The razor blade feels premium and causes no irritation on my skin. So happy with this new line of SkinGuard. Don't need to have a million blades on one razor head, they just reinvented the science behind it and it works tremendously.

I get pretty bad razor burn and irritated skin from a number of different blades, these gave the smoothest and closest shave I've ever had. Perfect if you're tired of razor burn.

Before trying the razor I didn't know nothing about this brand but after trying it it's one I would recommend. I've tried other brand and they have cut my skin.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have pretty sensitive skin especially in the winter. I did not get any nicks, cuts or skin irritation it does take a few extra up strokes to get a very close shave but it is well worth the extra time

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Gillette is always my go to razor. I've been using Gillette for years. Unfortunately, this particular razor (the Gillette SkinGuard Razor) did not work as well as other's I have used. It just didn't seem to provide the smooth shave that I'm used to with Gillette. I did like the handle though. It was shaped perfectly, easy to hold and provided a nice grip.

I have always used mach 3 my entire life because my beard is very thick and the 5 blade razors would clog up on me. I saw the skin guard and liked the idea of a space in between the 2 razor blades so I decided to try it. It works really well but I am concerned about how long a cartridge lasts because they are quite expensive. So can you guys at Gillette tell me how many shaves you are expected to get out of 1 cartridge and is there a way to tell when a new one should be put on? Thanks!

I’ve used ur pro glide razors for years. They were good but I still had issues with razor bumps and cutting. So I went to your competitor (Harry’s) because they were cheaper—then I saw your commercial for the skin guard razor —at 1st I thought it was just another razor so I didn’t try it right away—finally I decided to try it and I’m so glad I did!! This is the best razor that I’ve ever used—I’m so pleased with this product—don’t ever stop making it—it’s been great!!!
