[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Best used when wet or with your favorite shaving cream. I loved the way it cut down to the lowest to my skin with no cuts! It was smooth and simple to use. I usually have trouble with razors not cutting every hair. No issues at all!

I have had sensitive skin pretty much since I started shaving as a young teenager and now I’m 28. This is the best razor I’ve ever used! It took a little while for it to fully take effect but after about 4 months of daily shaving, all my bumps and cuts have healed.

This is a fabulous razor for us sensitive skin guys. I had a carotid endarterectomy almost 2 months ago which means I have a 3 inch incision on the right side of my neck. I've been able to shave albeit very carefully since the third day after the procedure. I have nicked the incision a couple times but no big issue. I've been using a SkinGuard for about two weeks - no nicks or irritation anywhere even on endarterectomy scar! I can shave normally again! As others have mentioned it does not shave as close as other razors such as my Mach 3 Turbo. It does shave closer than ANY of the electrics I have used. I am more than willing to give up closeness to have an irritation free shave! So if irritation relief is more important to you than closeness, RUN, don't walk to nearest store and pickup a SkinGuard. You won't be sorry! BTW- these blades work with any Fusion handle.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great product, smooth shave, my skin is sensitive and yet I must say, it left no burn and it glides nicely across all surface areas and contours of your face. The pivoting head is awesome to use stays evenly as it shaves. My only one use it seemingly needs another blade, I needed to hit a few areas again and again.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Gillette SkinGuard Razor really lives up to its name. I enjoyed the smooth glide that I don't normally experience from shaving. I was able to get a nice smooth shave without irritation or even a nick which was a welcomed surprise. I tend to have sensitive skin and seem to always get a bit of skin irritation along with at least one or more nicks with other razors. This razor produced a close shave without any problems. I liked the contour of the handle as it fits nicely in my hand producing a good grip giving me the best control. I will continue to use this razor.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I do not like giving bad reviews but in this one deserves it. After receiving the 4 pack of razors i let my beard grow for 5 days and then used one. The shave was horrible. After applying shaving cream i used one of the 4 razors. It pulled my hair and left stubble everywhere and gave me razor burn. Even after a second shave i still didn't have a clean face. Thinking that maybe I let the hair grow too much I then wait three days and used a second razor with the same results. By this time I was completely discouraged but decided to give these razors one more chance so i let my beard grow just one day and then used the 3rd of 4 razors. The results were basically the same with slightly less stubble than the previous two. Needless to say I did not sue the fourth razor. I suppose that it is possible that the blades had a defect during manufacture but who knows. I had not heard of the Gillette CustomPlus3 system before this test but I can say that i would not recommend this product nor would i buy it. The only redeeming quality is that the handles were designed very well and fit comfortably in the hand.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Gillette SkinGuard Razor is similar to other Gillette Mach-type razor handles, so the blades for this razor may be compatible with similar Gillette razor handles. I really liked that this razor did not seem to have so many closely-positioned blades that would get "jammed" with hairs. These blades are spaced far enough apart to provide for easy rinsing. The added "skinguard" and lubricating strips all complement the well-balanced ('weighted') ergonomic handle to achieve a clean, simple shave for sensitive skin.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like this razor as I would get ingrown hairs and breakouts, but with the gillette skinguard blade there are no nicks, hair doesn't seem to get stuck in the blades as much as with other cartridge razors. I would definitely buy it again.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Gillette SkinGuard razor handle has a comfortable hold and a good grip! It seems to be well made by quality materials that will last for years. I appreciate only having to buy refill blades and not the whole razor. I would highly recommend this razor handle! I have written a separate review for the Gillette SkinGuard razor blade.
