I’ve never had the best luck when shaving. I’ve tried everything, 3 blades, 5 blades, disposables, electric razors, switching shaving creams, different techniques and still the same exact result... REDNESS AND BUMPS. Some worse than others but same thing every time. I saw the SkinGuard and thought I’d give it a try and see for myself if it would work for my super sensitive skin or if it was just a gimmick. My first shaving experience with the SkinGuard I was comfortable, and easy. I noticed no bumps or redness on my cheeks or neck area and was surprised. I gave it a few hours and still. NO REDNESS OR BUMPS. My second shave. Same thing. Third time around I had neglected the razor a few days and had some red bumps on my neck from letting it grow a little too long. I finally shaved and still no new bumps or redness. I’m starting to love this razor! I can finally have the wet shave experience without having to worry about unsightly bumps or irritation. It may not shave as close as some would like it to but my facial hair isn’t too thick so I don’t really have an issue with that. I would trade a baby’s bottom super close shave and my face littered with red bumps everywhere for a close enough shave and a comfortable smooth face any day of the week. I realize every man is different, but trust me if it worked for me and my sensitive skin, it just might work for you.

Tried to see if I could get a skin cut but the razor is designed in such a way that it is difficult to even scratch your skin. Highly recommend it for people who want to look sharp and have a clean cut shave.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used this razor three times now and the overall feeling is that it is a nicely built razor but is lacking in a few areas. I like the shave that it produces, soft and smooth but I feel that it could use at least one or more blades to make the shaving experience better and easier. The handle itself looks and feels nice but there needs to be some sort of a grip on the metal handle because when it gets wet it becomes very slippery. Overall I would say that its a good razor that just needs a few minor tweaks.

I wouldn't purchase it because honestly they are just so expensive compared to subscription companies I use. I have seen this razor in stores before and looked at getting one but decided against it. This item is specifically designed for sensitive skin so it sounded like the perfect razor for my needs. I decided to order one to test the item out. What makes this Gillette Razor unique is it has a SkinGuard in between the blades. The guard helps to flatten my skin so it doesn't become irritated. The blades are spaced apart at an optimal distance to reduce the amount of pulling and tugging I experience while shaving, which has eliminated my bleeding issues. Before, my skin felt rough and raw due to shaving, and now it feels smooth. My wife loves it! If you have sensitive skin, and you're looking for a new razor, I absolutely recommend trying out the Gillette SkinGuard Razor. Nothing else worked for me before it. Now I can shave everyday and look presentable, and my skin is smooth and bump free. I'm so thankful I learned about this product.

The only thing I didn't like was that the handle was difficult to hold onto and became slippery when my hand was wet. I would probably buy this product again, but I would like it better on a different handle.

I was very pleasantly surprised with the closeness and comfort of the shave. I thought that my only option with very sensitive skin was an electric razor. Now I have another option. I can use this razor every day with almost no irritation at all. My skin is very sensitive and reacts to just about everything I do. I am happy to now be able to get a better shave than my electric could ever do.
