So enter the Gillette Skin Guard. All I have to say is WOW! The way the blade moved across my face with ease made me think that the I would have to go back a couple of times to get the nice close shave I am looking for. I have used Gillette razors for years and this one is the best ever. One pass=close shave. No pain and suffering included. Believe I have found my newest razor.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm a guy with sensitive skin. Razor burn, razor bumps, and skin irritation have plagued me for quite some time. So, for most of my life, I've avoided razors completely and used a beard trimmer with the closest setting to live with the stubble. I decided to try a blade once again, and I'm certainly glad I did. It seems Gillette has gone back to the drawing board and decided that less is more. By that I mean less blades. The simplification of the razor with the additions of the 'skinguard' between the two blades (to keep them from shaving too close to the skin) and the addition of the lubrication strips before and after the blades that help it glide over the skin easily, is a perfect combo. There's a nice addition of a single trimming blade at the edge to keep those lines straight, too! I've been shaving with it for a couple weeks now, and have decided that I'll be buying this razor from now on.

I've aleays tried to avoid shaving for as long as possible, but now it's become part of my routine. The blades last for quite a while, and the soothing gel strip on the top leaves my face feeling smooth and fresh.

It doesn't have all the bells and whistles that some of the higher end models do, but you know what? It gets the job done pretty well. It's a very smooth shave that left me without any skin irritation at all. I'd definitely recommend this razor to anyone.

I'm pretty picky when it comes to shaving my face and I have an impossibly high standard. So when I say this razor is like many of the others that I've tried, that isn't necessarily the slight it may seem. I would call the razor "good," high quality, and one of the better ones I've used. For that reason, I personally would not purchase the razor handle or blade, but I would actually recommend it to others. I was not aware of this specific product prior to participating in the try-it program but am well aware of the Gillette brand in general and their general line of products.

Gillette SkinGuard Razor was real easy to clean off during use and after use. The numbers of blades in the Gillette SkinGuard Blade is appropriate and ensures consistent shaves across my chin and face, Overall, a very elegant product! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love this new blade. I work outside all day and in the winter, my skin gets very wind burnt and sensitive. This blade causes no additional irritation and still gives a close shave. No tugging or pulling during the shave. The skin guard works well. I was not aware of this new blade as I use a subscription service (quality has gone downhill for about a year). I will be putting the Gillette Skinguard Razor on the shopping list.
