I have been shaving a tough beard since the age of fourteen. When I found Skin Guard, my daily shaving has become a pleasure. No more nicks, bleeding. The slight difference in the closeness of the shave is well worth it for people who have tough beards.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The razor blades are convenient. The cooling strip definitely makes your face feel cool, at least until it wears out. I have found these blades have impressive durability as well, as they can be used continuously for quite a while before having to change blades (though some parts do wear out before the blades do). Eventually, the blades do seem to dull with repeated usage. The way they are designed allows for some give and mobility with the razor, which makes shaving along a curved part of one's face or neck easier. Overall, these blades are good quality.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Smooth, consistent shave that ranks up there with some of the better disposable blade systems I've used. So far, 2 blades in and it's managed to give a clean cut with no catching on beard hairs, which is pretty much my standard for evaluation.

Tried many razors most recently dollar shave club "executive." would still get a burn and slight rash on my neck even with a brand new blade. Just swithed to the SkinGuard last week and WOW! I honestly thought the first time I used it that I left the plastic cover on it was that smooth. This blade is a life changer if you have problems shaving your neck.

This is a fabulous razor for us sensitive skin guys. I had a carotid endarterectomy almost 2 months ago which means I have a 3 inch incision on the right side of my neck. I've been able to shave albeit very carefully since the third day after the procedure. I have nicked the incision a couple times but no big issue. I've been using a SkinGuard for about two weeks - no nicks or irritation anywhere even on endarterectomy scar! I can shave normally again! As others have mentioned it does not shave as close as other razors such as my Mach 3 Turbo. It does shave closer than ANY of the electrics I have used. I am more than willing to give up closeness to have an irritation free shave! So if irritation relief is more important to you than closeness, RUN, don't walk to nearest store and pickup a SkinGuard. You won't be sorry! BTW- these blades work with any Fusion handle.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Grips good, slides on easy. I've always been loyal to Gillette. Simply because its hard to find that perfect razor. Be it as it may, it's still expensive for a disposable razor. But quality has its price.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Best razor brand around in my opinion, I will not use anything else, you can always depend on a close, nick free shave, innovative, various blade heads you can interchange with handles, battery or not, what more could you ask for in a razor, when they say the very best, I believe it and stand by them. I would highly recommend this set, great price and excellent performance.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The razor felt good in my hand and well contoured and textured for a solid grip. The blade was very sharp and felt smooth against my face. However the attachment point between the blade and the razor seemed flimsy and the blade seemed floppy when not actively shaving. What I really didn't like is that the second day I went to use the razor the white strip on the bottom of the blade was stuck to the counter. If you don't dry the blade and/or store it vertically without touching anything the conditioning strip becomes very tacky. After it was stuck, the blade didn't feel as comfortable when shaving.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Gillette SkinGuard Razor was extremely comfortable and easy to use. It is very similar to the Mach5 razor, worked just as well. The only thing I did not like is that it was harder to get close to the nostrils.

I recently cut my dreads and went bad to shaving my head. This razor was by far the best I've used. It gave me an even shave on my not even scalp and didn't nick or cause any irritation. The only downside is I can only use the blade once. But it is one GREAT shave. I have switched and recommended my dad switch too. Unless there is a blade that can offer this quality plus longevity of the blade I will not be switching.
