[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was pleasantly surprised by this razor. The handle is designed ergonomically and the blade refill goes on and off smoothly. Seems very sturdy and feels like it will last a good amount of time. I work outside all day and, during winter, my face is wind burnt and sensitive. This blade does not cause any irritation and less pulling during my shave. I currently use a subscription blade service for the convenience. Unfortunately, the quality of those products have diminished over the past year. The Gillette blade has a skin guard that works well for its purpose. I was not aware of this new blade prior to receiving it, but I will be looking for it. Would certainly recommend.

I have been shaving now for some 60 years when my Boarding school in Groton ,MA had the people come out from Yardley's in Boston and teach us how to shave. At that time it was a Gillette DE razor,shaving brush and the old wooden bowl Yardley's shaving cream. I then went to the Gillette adjustable ,Tach 2, Mach 3 and the Pro shield , and now the SkinGuard. I only wish I had it 60 years ago.Most comfortable shave EVER. No pulling or ingrown hairs. A pleasure to shave now. Very smooth on the face.It's amazing you don't think the blade is cutting but after your through your face is SO smooth.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I let me facial hair grow out to a little more than stubble. After the first pass I didn't think that it did anything. I couldn't feel it "pulling" on the hairs to cut them. I realized that it sliced them off with no problem at all. After finishing, my face wasn't irritated, red, or nicked. I was very surprised at how well this razor did and would definitely recommend this to anyone who has sensitive skin. The only con to the blade is that it doesnt quite reach all of the hairs on my moustache area below my nose due to the top of the blade being a little wide

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Gillette SkinGuard Razor was a disappointment compared to similar Gillette products. Normally I can take Gillette razors with one swipe and all the hair comes right off. With this razor had to go over the area several times to get that smooth feeling. I would not buy this particular razor. I gave this razor at least 3 stars, because even though the blades were awful, the handful was very comfortable and easy to handle.

I'm an African American woman who has alopecia so I have to shave my head. This razor is amazing! Smooth, no irritation, easy to use. I finally found my perfect razor and shave cream. I subscribed so I'll never run out. PS, also works well for arm pits, bikini area and legs!!!! Sankofa F.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Razor itself was sturdy, easy to hold/grip. Not impressed by the blade it came with though. Didn't shave close enough to my skin. After shaving, my face felt rough like sand paper. I'm in the military, and would not buy this blade again. Will consider buying a different refill blade next time

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Gilette refill was pretty smooth and comparing to another refill it was gliding better. I was not aware that Gilette skinguard razer and refill are available. It is better than my two blades razer and goes on smooth. the only reason I did not give 4 or more was my refills were missing from package. I would definitely buy this again and I high recommend this to anyone who wants nonirritant and close shaving.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wow, this new SkinGuard razor is unlike anything else I've ever used……it is absolutely fantastic!! Look and feel is premium quality. When I first started using the razor, I didn't think it was working because I couldn't feel any pulling of my hairs, it was so, so, smooth. So different from traditional razors, I was really impressed when that first stroke went down my cheek. I have extremely sensitive skin and this blade simply caused ZERO irritation and no hesitation at all! Overall the comfort with this new SkinGuard razor is phenomenal and it cleans up easily under water by releasing any and all loose hairs. Again, so, so, impressed with this razor, it's the one I've been waiting for!! Thank you Gillette!!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this razor as part of a program for me to review it. That aside here's my honest review of the product. Frankly, it was better than I was expecting. I had low expectations seeing as how it's only two blades in the same frame as the 5 blade Fusion. However, it performed admirably. I normally shave with a double edge safety razor and while this definitely wasn't as close or precise, it shaved closer than I was expecting and left me with very little if any, irritation. Having the blades further apart really did help and I didn't feel the normal tug. If it was free or as cheap as using a double edge razor, I might consider using this on a more permanent basis, especially when I have a beard and am only shaving my neck and cheeks. However, the price point will probably keep this from being my regular razor. But if you struggle with razor burn, want something a little less aggressive than a double edge, and don't mind spending the money on it, then this is your razor.
