I am able to get very close shave and no irritation. These blades are advanced. They are sharp, will give you a clean, smooth shave. They also gentle to touch so need to worry about cutting yourself. The skin guard reduces irritation and redness. Say goodbye to razor bumps. I highly recommend these blades.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love this new blade. I work outside all day and in the winter, my skin gets very wind burnt and sensitive. This blade causes no additional irritation and still gives a close shave. No tugging or pulling during the shave. The skin guard works well. I was not aware of this new blade as I use a subscription service (quality has gone downhill for about a year). I will be putting the Gillette Skinguard Razor on the shopping list.

I didn't get any red bumps, but I think that was because there aren't many blades and it doesn't get a close shave. I've used other razors that get a closer shave and don't leave red bumps. I won't be buying refills and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Very unfortunate because I have always thought highly of Gillette products

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] SkinGuard Razor blade is very smooth to use, i have a bit rough shave, and normally when i use 3 blade Razor, i skin burn but after i use SkinGuar Razor, didn't feel any skin burn or irritation. i was not aware of this product before, but glad to try this Razor. i would recommend the Gillette SkinGuard Razor refill as Gillette is kin to produce quality product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] the shinguard blade is an interesting design...it only uses two blades, which is kind of unusual for a new razor design. these two blades are spaced out quite a bit, with a plastic grid-type thing between them. this works really well in that soap and beard stubble are less likely to get caught between the blades like on the three- or four-blade razors. the blades also have lubricating strips on the top and bottom; these strips seem to lubricate well without leaving a slimy feeling like some other blades. gillette has perfected the mounting mechanism on these blades, it's very easy to change out the blades.

I didn't know about this particular model of blade before, but I'm impressed by it. The shave was smooth and my skin wasn't irritated whatsoever. I'd definitely recommend these blades to anyone, but they're great for sensitive skin.

Just spent the better part of reading week HACKING through my goochfro. I heard that a strand of hair is supposed to be as strong as a piece of steel of the same girth. If that’s the case, my razor must be made from absolute SHARP because theres no way a steel blade would glide through cubic acres of cheek hair as seamlessly as it did. Like a hot knife through liquid ice cubes. Never been a more satisfied customer. #gillette

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After using the new Gillette Skinguard Razor to shave every day for 10 days, I find it shaves closely without pulling or catching on stubble and tracks the contours of my face without irritating tender cheek skin. It moves smoothly no matter which way you turn it to get every stray whisker. My morning shave lasts longer too as it seems to glide over the skin and push it down so the whiskers stand up higher for a closer cut. The blade has held up so well that I have just replaced it with a new blade, which is every bit as good as the one that came with the razor.

Doesn't clog up like a bathroom at a fraternity house after a chili cook-off. Stays sharp half as long as other razors with the same amount of blades.
