Doesn't clog up like a bathroom at a fraternity house after a chili cook-off. Stays sharp half as long as other razors with the same amount of blades.

i wrote a pretty awful review of this product a month ago - surprise it got lost in the mail. My review said these blades gave a smooth shave but I needed to shave a second time with a fusion blade to remove stubble. In a nutshell -- don't waste your money. Best you lose this review too.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Prior to trying this Gillette SkinGuard razor I was using a 4-blade BIC razor and was happy with it overall. This SkinGuard razor only has 2 blades which are spaced quite a ways apart, so far that there's actually a plastic bar in between the blades which is textured such that I think it's supposed to help align the hair for the next blade to pick up. I was surprised that with only two blades it was able to cut just as well as my 4-blade BIC but with the added advantage of not getting clogged up nearly as much. I have thick hair so all multi-bladed razors tend to get clogged up fairly quickly and I'm constantly running them under the shower head and tapping them against the shelf to dislodge the hair. With this razor I barely had to do that at all, just run it under the shower a couple times and that was for doing my entire face and head. I also like that these blades use the same handle as my Gillette ProGlide razor. I didn't really care for the ProGlide blades so I've just had it sitting around not being used. These handles are nice because they're metal so feel solid, but also have rubber grips making them easy to hold. Also, the heads snap on firmly and stay there. I haven't had a head break yet, unlike some other razors where I have to throw them out before the blades dull just because the connection point broke. After two uses of shaving my face and head, the white strip along the top of the blade is almost completely worn down, so I think that part could be improved, made a bit more durable, but other than that I really like these blades.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use the Gillette skin guard razor for my shaving needs. The razor is extra light on my face and doesn't make me bleed. It also does not irritate which I live and would recommend to anyone with sensitive skin.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very smooth shave. I have rough skin but my face still gets easily irritated by shaving. I had no razor burn or anything after using this razor. The SkinGaurd must be real. I noticed I get a closer shave than my old razor, too. So I can sometimes go 2 days without shaving before the dark stubble comes back. Quality razor for sure.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Gives a close shave, and the hair doesn't get all stuck in the blades like other brands because there's a nice space in between the blades. I would definitely recommend this razor for anybody wanting a close shave.

The razor has an incredible feeling, you don't feel the blades. This is a totally new way of shaving for me. I love the product and would definitely recommend it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The handle is thin compared to the other Gillette razors I have used so while shaving it had the tendency to slip out of my hands a bit. When I went to detail the edge of my beard this became a bothersome. Maybe a better grip on the handle will help. Overall it was usable and more robust than other brands. The razor itself did help with skin irritation but only having two blades I had to go over areas many more times which in turn still caused some irritation. Having thick curly hair this can be a problem. I was very surprised it worked as well as it did for only two blades though.
