Gillette kindly sent me one of these razors to try and OMG ITS INCREDIBLE! I have tried so many razors in my lifetime and this is the only one that "WOW'd" me! I have never been so impressed with a razor to the point of wanting to leave a review. My man said it was going to tug and pull when he looked at it, I could not believe there was absolutely no tugging or pulling, I didn't have to stretch my skin out to get a smooth tug free shave! It's so amazing for those "sensitive" areas! I will never stop using this razor! You have to try this ladies and gents! Send me more Gillette!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So, yes - the SkinGuard blade felt great on the first pass. Much better than any other Fusion blade, in fact. But... As one might expect that comfort came at the cost of the closeness of the shave. After the first pass, it still looked like I had my full 5 o'clock shadow. After the second, it looked like I'd used an electric shaver rather than a blade. It took until the fourth or fifth pass to get a close enough shave that I was moderately satisfied (even tho it still wasn't all that close), but by then my face was even more irritated than when I use my regular Fusion blades. If you're cool with stubble from the jump, then this blade will definitely protect your face! If you, like me, choose to shave with a blade so you get a nice close shave that will last you thru the day without looking homeless then this isn't for you.

I have shaved my head and my face with this razor and am extremely pleased with the results of it. The two blade system with the guard in between is a completely different change in the most normal direction that razors head these days. I have extreme issues with razor burn and bumps and this razor caused neither of those issues for me. It was an extremely comfortable shave with no tugging or pulling and very easy rinsing with the space available between everything. This product for me will be a repeat purchase for sure!!

I have some what sensitive skin and this razor worked great for me. I plan on purchasing the refills to go with it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Prior to trying this Gillette SkinGuard razor I was using a 4-blade BIC razor and was happy with it overall. This SkinGuard razor only has 2 blades which are spaced quite a ways apart, so far that there's actually a plastic bar in between the blades which is textured such that I think it's supposed to help align the hair for the next blade to pick up. I was surprised that with only two blades it was able to cut just as well as my 4-blade BIC but with the added advantage of not getting clogged up nearly as much. I have thick hair so all multi-bladed razors tend to get clogged up fairly quickly and I'm constantly running them under the shower head and tapping them against the shelf to dislodge the hair. With this razor I barely had to do that at all, just run it under the shower a couple times and that was for doing my entire face and head. I also like that these blades use the same handle as my Gillette ProGlide razor. I didn't really care for the ProGlide blades so I've just had it sitting around not being used. These handles are nice because they're metal so feel solid, but also have rubber grips making them easy to hold. Also, the heads snap on firmly and stay there. I haven't had a head break yet, unlike some other razors where I have to throw them out before the blades dull just because the connection point broke. After two uses of shaving my face and head, the white strip along the top of the blade is almost completely worn down, so I think that part could be improved, made a bit more durable, but other than that I really like these blades.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This handle feels great. I only shave my head and around my beard and neck line. One thing I really liked about it is how it feels in my grip. I can easily access all points I need to without any issues and it feels great in my hands.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Gillette SkinGuard Razor works great for a nice smooth shave. I saw a decrease in razor bumps so it does really help with sensitive skin. It was a close shave without as much irritation. The only bad part I found was the blades didn't stay sharp near as long as other Gillette products but they also aren't as expensive so it balances out.

I tried this and when I opened it was surprised to see the design only had two blades but it had high reviews so I tried anyways. I wound up with several nicks (I’ve been shaving for 30+ years and haven’t had a nick since teen days of disposable razors). It was absolutely not a close shave and very uncomfortable shave. I will never use these blades again!

I have been using it for about a year as I have sensitive skin, but I don't like the fact it doesn't give a close shave. It takes several "passes" to have a decent shave, so I end up with some irritation. I will try Pro Glide Shield looking for a clean shave and less "passes". If this doesn't work, I may try another brand.
