[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like like how this razor feels on my skin during a shave. it glides over smoothly and gives me a close shave without any irritation. It works just as well as my usual razor. I would definitely consider this the next time I'm buying razor.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The handle is thin compared to the other Gillette razors I have used so while shaving it had the tendency to slip out of my hands a bit. When I went to detail the edge of my beard this became a bothersome. Maybe a better grip on the handle will help. Overall it was usable and more robust than other brands. The razor itself did help with skin irritation but only having two blades I had to go over areas many more times which in turn still caused some irritation. Having thick curly hair this can be a problem. I was very surprised it worked as well as it did for only two blades though.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Prior to trying this Gillette SkinGuard razor I was using a 4-blade BIC razor and was happy with it overall. This SkinGuard razor only has 2 blades which are spaced quite a ways apart, so far that there's actually a plastic bar in between the blades which is textured such that I think it's supposed to help align the hair for the next blade to pick up. I was surprised that with only two blades it was able to cut just as well as my 4-blade BIC but with the added advantage of not getting clogged up nearly as much. I have thick hair so all multi-bladed razors tend to get clogged up fairly quickly and I'm constantly running them under the shower head and tapping them against the shelf to dislodge the hair. With this razor I barely had to do that at all, just run it under the shower a couple times and that was for doing my entire face and head. I also like that these blades use the same handle as my Gillette ProGlide razor. I didn't really care for the ProGlide blades so I've just had it sitting around not being used. These handles are nice because they're metal so feel solid, but also have rubber grips making them easy to hold. Also, the heads snap on firmly and stay there. I haven't had a head break yet, unlike some other razors where I have to throw them out before the blades dull just because the connection point broke. After two uses of shaving my face and head, the white strip along the top of the blade is almost completely worn down, so I think that part could be improved, made a bit more durable, but other than that I really like these blades.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So, yes - the SkinGuard blade felt great on the first pass. Much better than any other Fusion blade, in fact. But... As one might expect that comfort came at the cost of the closeness of the shave. After the first pass, it still looked like I had my full 5 o'clock shadow. After the second, it looked like I'd used an electric shaver rather than a blade. It took until the fourth or fifth pass to get a close enough shave that I was moderately satisfied (even tho it still wasn't all that close), but by then my face was even more irritated than when I use my regular Fusion blades. If you're cool with stubble from the jump, then this blade will definitely protect your face! If you, like me, choose to shave with a blade so you get a nice close shave that will last you thru the day without looking homeless then this isn't for you.

I’ve been a Gillette customer all my life. I’ve been using their products, specifically the Fusion blades, to shave my head for many years. For the last 20 years I’ve only been using an electric shaver on my face due to the irritation and razor bumps I would get from using a blade. When I saw these blades I thought I’d give it a try while I was on a long vacation thinking if it didn’t work my face would heal in time for when I return to work. Since using the blades I have not had any issues of irritation or razor bumps. I’ve read other reviews about the lack of closeness for these blades. I would say these blades cut as close as needed to not irritate the skin and cause razor bumps. They are perfect in that sense and I’m happy to start shaving with a blade against my face since my late teenage years.

Just spent the better part of reading week HACKING through my goochfro. I heard that a strand of hair is supposed to be as strong as a piece of steel of the same girth. If that’s the case, my razor must be made from absolute SHARP because theres no way a steel blade would glide through cubic acres of cheek hair as seamlessly as it did. Like a hot knife through liquid ice cubes. Never been a more satisfied customer. #gillette

The glide is great, you feel no tug or drag with this razor and I have been a user of Gillette Fusion since they have come out. I like the extra protection around the blades with this model. I would highly recommend this razor for all your shaving needs. The blades are also interchangeable with the Fusion Battery handles.

Absolutely, positively, 1000% the most comfortable, pull-free shave I have ever had. ALSO, the shave STAYS comfortable for a long time. Many shaves per refill. As others have observed, the shave is not quite as close as with Proglide, but as comfortable as this is, I can shave every day if I want to, which I can't do with most blades.
