Typically when I shave, I get a reddish rash which I believe is due to something in the gliding strip on razors. When I used this razor - no rash! Amazing! Also it provided a great shave. I will purchase more!

I'm a black man that's accepted over the years skin irritation ,razor bumps and razor burns from shaving ...Gillette skin guard razors have changed my shaving experience. ..the razors glide over your skin so smooth it makes you question is this thing working ..with the grain against the grain same result ...truly a game changer ...would recommend for all men in particular black man.

i had a Norelco electric, then I switched back to a new version of the "old school" hand held razor, by Van Der Hagen, thinking okay the Dutch got the clue book on shaving. Wrong!!! So - i randomly picked the Gilllette's SkinGuard, but purposely picked 2 blades versus the most blades. To test the closeness without nicks or pulling. Wow!!!! This razor will refuse to cut me! No matter the angle or pressure I apply - I get the smoothest shave I have ever gotten in over 30 years!!!!! of trying......Best razor on the planet!!!!

I have to shave daily due to thick facial hair, so any type of razor burn really hurts. So far I have used this razor for 5 days and no issues at all. I have always been a Gillette razor fan, but didn't realize this product existed. I highly recommend for anyone that has issues, even if you don't, it's a close shave that makes your skin feel really good after.

While the twin blade did the job I was hoping to get a closer shave so that you would not see whisker growth by the end of the day. I also have sensitive skin so something that is gentle on my skin was a must have. The Gillette SkinGuard Razor has delivered on both needs. It gives me a super close shave with out tearing up my neck along the way. It's easy to clean and switch out the blades and the blade refills are easy to find. Really happy with this new razor.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I do not like giving bad reviews but in this one deserves it. After receiving the 4 pack of razors i let my beard grow for 5 days and then used one. The shave was horrible. After applying shaving cream i used one of the 4 razors. It pulled my hair and left stubble everywhere and gave me razor burn. Even after a second shave i still didn't have a clean face. Thinking that maybe I let the hair grow too much I then wait three days and used a second razor with the same results. By this time I was completely discouraged but decided to give these razors one more chance so i let my beard grow just one day and then used the 3rd of 4 razors. The results were basically the same with slightly less stubble than the previous two. Needless to say I did not sue the fourth razor. I suppose that it is possible that the blades had a defect during manufacture but who knows. I had not heard of the Gillette CustomPlus3 system before this test but I can say that i would not recommend this product nor would i buy it. The only redeeming quality is that the handles were designed very well and fit comfortably in the hand.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was very happy with how this Gillette SkinGuard Razor worked. I did not have any razor burn, nor any bumpy skin after use. My face felt smooth and was soft to the touch. My wife even used these to shave her legs without any irritation either!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The issue I have is that the blades seem to be inconsistent. The first one seemed dull as though I had used it previously for awhile, yet it was the first few times using it ever. I replaced it with a second blade and this was not the case. The second blade gave me a nice close shave that felt like a new razor ought to, it was actually quite and improvement. I am not sure if the first was a fluke or something else, but I will continue to use for now and as long as the blades are as good as the second one.
