I just bought this razor on Saturday. My face had 4 days of thick growth on it. I was amazed at the smoothness of the the cut. From the first stroke to the last, there was no pull or irritation just a clean comfortable cut. Hands Down BEST razor that I have ever used!

I have shaved with this razor 10+ times and it still gives a nice, close, clean shave everytime. I will be buying the blade refills again and again.

I don't think I'll be changing razors any time soon. The blades are too large for my liking, and didn't provide a precise shave.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When you first look at this razor, it looks very different than other razors. First, it only has 2 blades, and these blades are not next to each other. Rather, on one side of each blade are plastic guards and hair lifters. The entire razor head is surrounded by a kind of gel/shaving cream to help protect your face, which my face never got any bumps or skin rash, so I really liked that. I liked the way it shaved my cheeks and upper lip, I didn't think it did a good job on the tougher areas, like my neck. I had to press down rather hard to get the desired effect. I probably wouldn't buy this razor for me, but I really like the way it protected my face.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is certainly a premium razor. The design is beautiful and solid and will last me a very long time. THe shave is fantastic, and although it cuts closely, I didn't cut myself. I use it to shave my facial hair as well as under ams.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Gillette SkinGaurd Razor is well named. I have used this razor for 2 weeks and have not had one cut. I have sensitive skin and shaving frequently leaves my face feeling damaged or burning. This is the first razor I've experienced that up, down, side to side strokes don't hurt. My face gets a clean smooth shave without worry. For years I have been buying and shaving with giant head 5 blade razors. This 2 blade headed razor gets the job done. I am only holding back the 5th star (4 star rating), because the 5 blade heads give me a slightly closer shave faster. That being said, I prefer The Gillette SkinGuard Razor overall due to the comfort and gentleness. The razor burn I used to feel from my old razors is just a memory now.

I got the razor through a promotion advertising sensitive skin. I struggle with breakouts/skin irritation from shaving, even with “high quality” razors. From shaving with skin guard, it’s a night and day difference. The shave is smooth, soft, and glides GENTLY across my skin. I can’t vouch for this product enough. The shave is actually very close too, even though the premise is raising the blade slightly compared to the pro-glide. I will not be buying another razor after using this.

I was very pleasantly surprised with the closeness and comfort of the shave. I thought that my only option with very sensitive skin was an electric razor. Now I have another option. I can use this razor every day with almost no irritation at all. My skin is very sensitive and reacts to just about everything I do. I am happy to now be able to get a better shave than my electric could ever do.

There was no bumps and barely any redness. I can now shave everyday without worrying about my skin being irritated at work all day.

I would definitely recommend for anyone with thick hair and sensitive skin, the glide so easily and don't have to keep passing over for missed stubble! I was thinking it wouldn't work well when I first saw the blades but went great, didn't have to make more than one pass and it's super smooth! The blades wash easily which can be a pain with razors but hair falls out easily in this design! Overall highly recommend
