[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This blade is amazing. My husband has been using Gillette razors for years but I decided to try them out for myself on my legs. My regular women's razor always get clogged up with hair and deodorant when I shave. Not this the Gillette SkinGuard Razor. It lasts forever and doesn't clog up. It's so smooth and doesn't nick mu skin at all. I love these razors. I recieved this razor as a free sample and was not paid for my review.

I usually use the 5 blade razors and when I received this one, I didn't think I was going to get a good, smooth shave from this razor. Much to my surprise, it works just as great as the 5 blade razors and no razor burn after I shaved. I was able to feel the moisturizer from the strips on the blade. It kept my face soft and no burn during the shaving process. With my other razors, an hour after I shaved my face would turn a bright red and start burning. I hated going anywhere after I shaved because I got tired of people asking me what happened to my face and I had to explain to them that it was caused from shaving. There has not been any red spots on my face after using this razor. The blades are easy to change and I am not going to have to change them as frequently as other blades. If you have sensitive skin, I would definitely recommend this razor. It has 2 major benefits, Close shave and Protects the skin.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had seen the Gillette SkinGuard Razor Handle and Blade Refill in the stores previously, but had not tried it/them prior to receiving for review. I find the SkinGuard Razor Blade Refill to be the most comfortable blade I have used to date. It feels as if it is virtually impossible to cut oneself shaving with this blade. On the flip side, I find that, because of its only 2 steel blades, compared to the 5 steel blades of my regular Gillette Fusion blade refill, it does sometimes require more "passes" in order to accomplish the same shave -- which is something I personally don't really mind. I would both buy and recommend this product.

You know...razors are very expensive these days, and when you find something that works, as this does, you want to be able to justify buying it. I found this razor to be the most comfortable shave I have experienced with a refillable. This is probably due to the various lube strips that completely surround the blades. At first I thought, that because of these, it would not last as long as other choices because the lube strips would wear away. I have been using this one for over a month (every day) and I can state that it still has life left to it. It is probably also around the top 15% of the closets shaves that i have gotten from a product of this type. When I first noticed this product on the shelves and took a good look at it, I noticed that it only had two blades. I thought that, because of this, it could not perform as well as the 5, 6, or 7 blade shavers..but it does and it even mostly out-performs them. This is where my value point comes and is what cost this product one star. The little voice inside me screams that it should cost less because of it has many less blades than the other leading choices out there. If you are someone who needs a solution to sensitive skin shaving, someone who does not have and issue with cost, or someone who just want to use a product that performs admirably, then this could be your shaver. I will still probably continue to use this shaver, but it sure would be nice if it were less expensive than the shavers that have more blades.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Gillette SkinGuard Razor is one of the best razors i have ever used. It gives a close shave, no nicks no razor burn with a sturdy handle. My skin was super soft and my shave lasted longer than normal. Although i am a Gillette fan i had not used this particular razor but i will be from now on.

I purchased this razor a week ago. I shave in the shower daily and I have found this razor to be lacking in the following two areas. 1) The handle of the razor is poorly shaped and slippery making it difficult to hold when wet. 2) The white collar around the blade(s) dries out and if the razor is placed with it down on a surface it sticks to that surface. When you try to lift the razor the white surface adheres and rips off making the blade dangerous to use any further. The razor itself would be very good if these areas were addressed.

I was very pleasantly surprised with the closeness and comfort of the shave. I thought that my only option with very sensitive skin was an electric razor. Now I have another option. I can use this razor every day with almost no irritation at all. My skin is very sensitive and reacts to just about everything I do. I am happy to now be able to get a better shave than my electric could ever do.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was really pleased with using this Gillette SkinGuard Razor. Not cuts or razor bumps after shaving my face. The overall razor has a little weight but not bad at all. VERY close shave. I will buy again for sure.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] the shinguard blade is an interesting design...it only uses two blades, which is kind of unusual for a new razor design. these two blades are spaced out quite a bit, with a plastic grid-type thing between them. this works really well in that soap and beard stubble are less likely to get caught between the blades like on the three- or four-blade razors. the blades also have lubricating strips on the top and bottom; these strips seem to lubricate well without leaving a slimy feeling like some other blades. gillette has perfected the mounting mechanism on these blades, it's very easy to change out the blades.

The blade are sooooo smooth on the skin. At the beginning you think this razor is not doing anything.....but it actually is!! Sooo smooth. Finally a razor that is comfortable for sensitive skin. I will buy these razor and blades from now on. Excellent!!!
