I have never had buyer's remorse as much as getting this appliance. I will start with the good points. I washes and dry's just fine. It's also quiet because of the direct drive. What puts me off is the utter lack of thinking through how this machine should control. This dumbest complaint I have is how long you have to hold a button down just to have the light come on. I know how that sounds, but I think it's also a quick example that shows the lack of thinking things through. A bigger issue is that I want to customize my cycles. In other words, the "Normal" setting is not to my liking on either wash or dry setting. There's a setting within the phone app, that allows you to have the machine "learn" what your favorite setting are, so it has the ability to change it's settings, but why not just allow me option to "save" the features I want to default. You took easy programming and made it more complicated for some reason. The annoying part about this smart learning, is that if you do a couple loads that aren't your normal preferred settings, then it changes your settings once again. Also the fact that you cannot adjust the heat setting on Normal for drying is absolutely insane, and once again, for a timed dry, I have to change the settings every single time because there is no way for the machine to save timed dry's at all. Yes, you can download one wash and one dry cycle to a "download" button, but this only allows you to pick from a list of programs they have made. Once again, why not allow a "customize" cycle that allows me to pick the setting I want to choose and save it. I think this washer is for people who don't know how to best wash and dry their own clothes so they like the idea of a setting called "sweat stains" or "whites" to just know how it's best to clean their clothes because they aren't sure what temp you should wash at or how long you should dry for. This machine would be a 10 if the controls work well, but in my opinion, being able to wash and dry is the baseline minimum and the interaction with the machine is 9/10 what makes it enjoyable to use as long is it works and doesn't brake down. This machine is painfully unenjoyable to interact with. I'm repeating myself, but making a system that allows for the default settings to change, but doesn't allow you to manually make and save those settings yourself is beyond baffling. Also, this can only be done to the normal cycle. the other 4 cycles cannot learn new defaults, and in my opinion, are baffling choices to have a defaults. There is no "Whites" default cycle, that should be a gimme. I thought having a cycle that you can permanently download would be cool, but when the default cycles already on the machine are not one's you want to use, only having one downloadable cycle becomes not enough.

My 1st LG product ever, and so far I have been pleased in its initial 4 weeks of operation. This LG Tower replaced a 28 year old stackable W/D which finally stopped working. I was apprehensive about switching to a front loading washer, but so far it works well, allows a greater capacity of laundry, and seems more energy efficient. The dryer does its job quite well. The unit appears well built. Now here's to hoping it will be durable.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had this machine installed two weeks ago. If is beautiful to look at and I like that the settings are now in the middle of the machine. Unfortunately I did have a problem with the machine not emptying all of the water. I had to wring out some of the clothes. The repairman came today. He adjusted the drain hose and the washer did spin out all of the water. Here’s hoping it is fixed. Otherwise, I love this machine.

We wanted to reduce the appliance footprint in our basement and have higher machine capacities. The Washtower was the perfect candidate so we read up on it. It saves space without any capacity compromises and has full features plus more than we have had in the past. The machine is fast, capacious so far seems very efficient and quiet. C I like the Wi-Fi connection that lets me know when it’s done The only thing that was my so very easy was the Wi-Fi set up buts a one time exercise. Love that stream and the anti static options

The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is I can’t change the temperature on the dry settings. The user manual implies that I should be able to but I was told by customer service that the only way to adjust heat is to use the timed setting. I have a hard time believing that is true but I’m stuck with what they have told me. None the less, my clothes are dried and it never seems to be too hot o. The settings that I can’t adjust. I also love that it has a steam dry setting. I had this on my old dryer and loved it. I was thrilled that this dryer offered it too!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased our gas dryer Wash Tower as part of a basement renovation. It takes up considerably less room than conventional stacking units. The center front controls are amazing, with all settings so easy to see and use. The capacity of the washer and dryer is excellent.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We did a major remodel in our kitchen & laundry area. We had a side/side washer/gas dryer. We now have the LG Wash Tower. It takes up half the amount of space. The washer is on the bottom & dryer is on the top. They are both full size tubs. The controls are in the middle. VERY HANDY location. With my old machine I would have to do an extre rinse on our dark colors. It looked like maybe the wash cycles didn’t have enough water to get all the soap off the clothes. I DO NOT have that problem any more. I have NO REGRETS about getting this wash tower. Now I have room for a storage cabinet. Happy Customer.

The unit is wifi enabled and you can use the app to customize loads and it also alerts me to when my wash and dry are finished. I love that the dryer remembers the last wash cycle to help select the dryer setting you need. It’s quieter than my last unit and definitely an energy saver too!

I’m using less soap and my clothes are getting cleaner. Time will tell, but as of right now, I’m a fan.

We are older but LG made it very easy to understand. After the first wash and dry we were experts on using and understanding the controls. We also like how fast a normal wash takes compared to our old (Bosch). After 2 weeks we really like the LG Washtower. Thanks for a great product.
