Although weighing only 127 lbs this shelving is very solid and sturdy. Assembly is easy enough but I'd recommend having some clamps handy to hold things in place until the shelf sides can be locked into place. Shelves can be place at 3-inch intervals. If the wire shelf bottoms don't suit you, they can easily be replaced with MDF/plywood (not included). Cross braces on the ends and the shelf brackets that attach to the ends are welded and thus very solid, no racking or wiggles. The only thing missing is being able to get additional parts for more shelves or extend to multiple units, which the ends are built to accommodate.

These shelves are amazing. Super heavy duty, easy to put together. I am a 53 year old woman and I put these together by myself. I love that you can adjust the shelves to just the right height. I have purchased 4 of these to organize my shed and they are a game changer. These shelves will out live me.

I have purchased 2 so far and plan to purchase 2 more! My comments: WHAT THEY ARE: - Very sturdy and extremely well engineered and built. - Excellent for commercial and light industrial use, and perfect for home use in a garage, basement or any other home storage area. I'm sure they will not disappoint. - High quality, made in TAIWAN, NOT China, so finish is high quality and NO sharp edges like found in lesser quality mainland produced products. - Attractive paint finish that will look great in any warehouse, garage or basement. - EASY and QUICK to assemble by ONE person with NO (zero!) tools needed, though it is best to keep a rubber mallet or small piece of 2x4 handy to more easily tap in the cross beams into the slots. - They are HEAVY! Each full unit weighs about 120 pounds in the box, so do have someone else to help you or at least ask someone at the store to help you with loading them onto the cart and onto your vehicle. - Can be "daisy-chained," one assembled into the other which if you buy several can free up a frame end and allow you to build an extra unit for every 3 purchased if you spread out the number of shelves (ie, 3 shelves each instead of 4). - Make sure that when you buy it that you are getting the Member's Mark unit that is made in Taiwan. One Sam's Club store had put the very similar, but in my opinion not as good, competitor's unit (a well-known brand, but lower weight rating, and not the same quality IMO) in the place where these would be stocked and I had to get the store manager to have someone pull the right ones down from the top of the store pallet racking. - Regarding other comments about damaged units, I had very minor damage on the end of a channel in one of them but it was easily straightened. Best to inspect the unit at before taking it away from the store if you can rather than getting stuck with a damaged one or having to return a 120 pound white elephant!. And having the open box in your vehicle is not a big deal anyway because once you get it to where you're going, the best way to unload it from your vehicle by yourself is to open the box and take out the pieces one at a time instead of trying to move the whole thing at once. WHAT THEY ARE NOT: - As sturdy as they are, they are NOT pallet racking and I would not recommend using them for pallet storage. - In my opinion, and again as sturdy and well-built as they are, I would not recommend them for heavy industrial use, and personally, I would not load them to the stated maximum capacity of 2,500 pounds per shelf. Use common sense when loading them: heavier items toward the ends of the shelves and on the bottom shelf, etc. THINGS TO KEEP IN MIND THAT THE INSTRUCTIONS DON'T MENTION: - Make SURE that you check EACH cross beam for proper, full insertion into each slot in the frame, and that you check EACH shelf support channel as you install them for proper and full insertion of the pins that secure the channel ends to the cross beams (checking to make sure the pin end is visible coming out of the bottom of the channel and tapping the channels sideways to make sure they are pinned in on both ends is a good way to do this). It's very easy to inadvertently miss one slot when inserting the cross beams, or to feel that a pin was properly inserted and yet miss the holes in the channel and look like it is properly assembled. - Keep the lengthwise wires of the wire shelves UP and the short crossway wire side down when positioning the wire shelves otherwise the wires at the edges rest only on the pin heads (you'll see what I mean when you assemble it). - The wire shelves are sturdy and useful as is, but f you need to store small items and want to have a solid shelf without the holes, you can go to Lowe's or HD and have them cut 1/4" or 1/2" thick plywood or floor underlayment to line the shelves with: 22" wide x 71-3/4" long does the trick to make sure the wood rests completely on the shelf to best spread the load.

November 29, 2020 Went to Sam's in Joplin Missouri to pick up one of there Members Mark 4-Shelf Industrial Storage Racks with the 10,000Lb rating. Drove over an hour one way to get there and the same to get back home only to find out the welds on the main side supports were dethatching from the uprights. Words cannot describe how upset I am especially after spending over $150.00 and wasting approximately 3-1/2 hors of my day for nothing. As a consumer I should be compensated for this as this was deliberately packaged this way.

Sam's did a great job. Ordered for in-store pickup, had it two days later staff loaded it up in my truck and I was off. Shelvings were great quality. First one took about 40 mins to setup by myself while the second one was around 25 minutes. I had no issues with tolerances everything fit perfectly. Price was significantly better than the major big box store home supply stores

Good, sturdy shelving on par w the Gladiator shelving I previously bought. Similar quality, similar build and features. One other plus: costs significantly less than Gladiator and others. My only complaint is that one of the end pieces was bent when it arrived. Otherwise, highly recommended.

I bought this to replace an old one that I gave away before I moved . this one I purchased at Sam's Club is absolute junk super flimsy does not fit together. We got it halfway together it's all bent up. So at that point we have decided to box it back up and return it to Sam's. I would not recommend anybody waste their time with this shelf. It is nothing like the ones thay carried seven or eight years ago. The Box may look the same or similar. But the quality is absolutely junk. I would give it a zero star if that were an option.

Nice high quality shelving. Very easy to assemble. Packaged box is heavy and two people should load and unload it. I plan on cutting plywood board for some of the shelving to prevent loose items falling through the steel shelving. I would recommend this product to any/every one. I was going to build my own shelving out of 2x4’s and plywood but this purchase was a much better decision.

We bought it online for store pickup. The store personnel loaded it up for us; I've done this often, never had a problem. Get home and unload ... the box had the back ripped out, and several parts of the uprights were bent beyond belief. Like ...no one getting this for us noticed? More likely that they were just hoping I wouldn't notice... Drove back to the store, this time went in and had store workers look through every box. ALL the boxes had major tears, most of the visible uprights were bent somewhere. FInally found a box with minimal tears or marks, brought it home. Unloaded all ...the last piece, the second upright, had it's horizontal support twisted in such a way that it MUST have happened prior to putting in the box. I tried to carefully untwist as much as I could, because I needed the shelf THEN, and I had neither time nor patience to take ANOTHER trip back to Sams. Because of the twisting in the upright frames, the adjustable horizontal members were a bear to put in. Then, putting the shelves in ... the small supports on the bottom of the shelves ...really, pop rivets to attach, but just the shank section???? ALL throughout this shelf was a LACK OF QUALITY or QUALITY CONTROL. The metal itself was MUCH thinner than the last one of these I bought a few years back. The horizontal supports were hard to put in because of frame twisting, but here again, thinner metal made the job all the more difficult. AND ... how about a little screw to lock the shelf in at the upright? There's already a hole there for the job... The undershelf supports SHOULD have had nut & bolt, instead they went CHEAP with a rivet shank. I got one of these around four years back, so I compared the two ... and there IS no comparison as to quality - OR LACK THEREOF - in the newer shelves. Once again, Sams is putting a few cents more profit over sturdiness and quality. SHAME!

This 2500 pound per shelf unit is a very good deal for the money but I would not trust that much weight based on the thin gauge of steel and lack of diagonal braces on the backside and the sides. But I would buy it again for the value and the use I will give it. Make no mistake, this unit will be supporting 1000's of pounds....but good luck on 10,000 :) Each rail has 2 bolt holes on the ends(they are unused).......convenient for making the unit a bit "sturdier" so I drilled them out to about 5/16" and used 32 bolts and nuts to brace it up. The vertical metal pegs used for the shelving bracing they rattle a lot so I glued the head of the peg in place. The stout wire mesh is soon to be replaced with plywood. The 2.5"x2.5" square feet are a bit of a joke....they are tack welded in 3 spots and with 6" caster wheels to be welded in place those square feet had to go. The u-channel vertical framework is rather thin but it welded nicely to the caster wheel structure. The black winkle paint was a nice touch. The unit assembled perfectly. No instructions needed. It's so well thought out for simplicity. I thought long and hard if it was a 4 star or a 5 star. I know some people take stars off for silly things and that's not me. I give it 5 stars because I cannot get this awesome of a shelving unit that is 6 foot wide and 22.5" deep. I modded it a little for my own purposes and as long as 10,000 pounds is not put on it I say it's a 5 star!
