It looks far better than it tastes or smells. This is not sour or chewy enough, and it is little different from half a standard round loaf of country bread. It's fine, but only fine. Would not buy again, would not recommend to anyone seeking a bold bread.

I am one who prefers sourdough fot health reasons. This dough looks fabulous... texture is excellent, taste is good but not great for me. It is far too salty. After taste testing a slice, %26 rinsing out my mouth, I can still taste the salt. So, yes my salt intake is a LOT lower than most people use, AND I never use table salt, or kosher salt either. I only buy Pink Himilayan salt for the milder taste, and the minerals already in this type of salt. I do LOVE the texture of this bread as well as its vlassic soudough taste; just not the salt.

This is an expensive sourdough bread, but very delicious. It toasts up beautifully and pairs well with a pat of butter and some eggs. It comes in a half loaf and is very difficult to find available at my local store. I may need to stop buying it because of the expense, but not because of the quality.

I like the flavor of this bread. I like that it’s soft yet strong. It is soft enough for family members who have dentures to eat and it won’t stick to their teeth or rooves of their mouths. The bread is strong enough to spread thin slivers of unsalted butter across without tearing the surface. The bread is sturdy for making lunch meat and veggie sandwiches and it won’t get soggy when making tuna or chicken salad sandwiches. I wish Rustik would give the full loaf instead of half or 3/4 of a loaf for the price I am paying.

Half of an oven loaf leaves the slices different sizes. This lovely bread was meant to have something spread on a singe slice of toasted elegance! A flavor like none other and you can add more flavors by adding slices of avocado OR slice and fry turkey hot dogs to lay on a toasted slice with your favorite cheese! This is delicious bread for any and all occasions and all ages! Yes, it is sourdough so it is the best bread for keeping your IBS Belly Happy!

Pleased with this loaf. because the baker is not using citric acids, lactic acids, or amylase enzymes that include soy derivatives. So far we have successfully eaten this with a whey/soy allergy. Check ingredient label because the same baker makes other types of bread with additional additives.

my husband usually takes cold sandwiches to work when he works on Saturdays, and is very picky about texture and sogginess of the bread. I found this bread works great with his lunch meat. It tastes great, stays fresh, and has a perfect texture! Whether it's toasted or not toasted, this bread is a great addition to any sandwich! The only disadvantage is that it isn't a large loaf. For the price, I wish it there was a few more slices. Other than that, highly recommend.

I tried different brands of sourdough. The healthiest has the least amount of ingredients. I found this one. It’s not overly sour to me and even better toasted. The pieces get bigger towards the bottom that I can split them in half and make a sandwich. It’s on the pricey side especially for the amount you get but I like its quality so I buy it when I can.

This is a great sourdough! I’ve bought Francisco brand for decades. Saw this, liked the half loaf as it’s just me. I used it for toast, grilled cheese and a hot ham and cheese. It came out so nice! It’s a good flavor, not a strong sourdough which I like. The half loaf is perfect for me. It’s more expensive than my usual, but I think it’s worth it. I’ve already repurchased it.

This Rustik sourdough bread is sold in half loaves, but you are actually getting a whole loaf because the slices are very large. The texture is a little heavier than typical sourdough. It is not overpowering. For people who may not like sourdough bread, this might make them fall in love with its perfectly balanced flavor. It’s wonderful for grilled cheese sandwiches or toast, or side with your Italian dinner, or any sandwich. I find that the slices are so big that I can use one slice of bread for a full size sandwich. We keep it as a staple. Moist, flavorful, wonderful texture, perfect! I don’t think anyone would be disappointed unless you really, really, really have to have the very sour sourdough bread. Try it! You just might fall in love!
