I really like this Sourdough. It is not like the white bread they add a tangy flovor to. This has the chewy texture and a real tang. It tastes best to me when toasted. I wish the slice was slightly thinner, but other than that, I'm glad I found it. I wasted a lot of money on bread no one would eat after they quit having the loaves of Goldminer sourdough. Ir was only available in bulk. I loved it and this is a good substitute. It's chewy without making your jaw ache, and the tang is definitely there. It can be a little heavy, but toasting makes it lighter. It is perfect with a bit of butter and jam and also makes very good breakfast sandwiches. I am going to try it to make grill cheese soon. I had to put it in the refrigerator while we were gone to World Cup, but it was still great toasted.

I usually buy cheap breads, but decided to try this sourdough one day for turkey sandwiches. I swear you will be hooked on this sourdough bread! It literally has the fluffiest most soft texture of any bread I've ever tasted. I highly recommend this bread for delicious sandwiches!

Has a good flavor. Unlike other sliced sourdough bread, Rustik’s slices hold up really well for toasted mile-high gourmet sandwiches! Perfect for Cheddar-Pesto, loaded BLTs, or sliced grilled chicken sammies! And don’t forget: hot toasted slices with real butter!

Bread has lots of starch and so you might as well buy something you like and not buy too much of it because bread can really put weight on you and that’s not good for your heart. When you’re heavy, your heart has to pump real hard to put your body around. So I just use bread sparingly and I don’t need a lot. Quantity is good. I even share it with a friend and we have plenty of it. I recommend spending the extra money and getting it. It’s delicious.

This sourdough bread is so good! It always tastes fresh and has great flavor. You can eat it plain, toast it, spread it with jam or butter, use it for a sandwich, or just enjoy it right out of the bag. I like the quality of the product in ingredients and the texture is perfect. The price probably reflects the quality of the bread, but I enjoy it so much, it's gone all too quickly. Longer loaf, more sour and a wee bit off the current $$.

Really good bread. Texture, crust, and flavor all make this a good bread. Lasts a long time also, being single I put it in the fridge a few days after purchase and it lasts longer than others. Makes a great sandwich or burger, particularly grilled cheese or a lamb burger.

I used to buy this bread even though it's expensive because sourdough bread is the only bread my gut can tolerate. Somewhere along the line in the past 6 months they changed the recipe. The flavor and texture is different, and not in a good way. Rustik needs to learn the lesson so many other companies can't seem to grasp -- if it ain't broke don't fix it.

If you're looking for thick, crusty sourdough this is not the right brand. I'm picky about sourdough and this one has a nice "sour" taste. It's especially suited for sandwiches and toast, or as snacks with cheese and spreads. The bread is pricey considering the size of the loaf and the individual slices but I cut the entire loaf in half and freeze it, so the sticker shock isn't too severe.
