This Rustik sourdough bread is sold in half loaves, but you are actually getting a whole loaf because the slices are very large. The texture is a little heavier than typical sourdough. It is not overpowering. For people who may not like sourdough bread, this might make them fall in love with its perfectly balanced flavor. It's wonderful for grilled cheese sandwiches or toast, or side with your Italian dinner, or any sandwich. I find that the slices are so big that I can use one slice of bread for a full size sandwich. We keep it as a staple. Moist, flavorful, wonderful texture, perfect! I don't think anyone would be disappointed unless you really, really, really have to have the very sour sourdough bread. Try it! You just might fall in love!

We tried this Ruslik Sourdough Bread for the first time. We just toasted it and buttered the sourdough bread and it has really proved to be a great bread for toasting. Of course you can add whatever you want on top of it. Just a good butter is enough!

We really love sourdough in our house. The only issue usually is that we don't always get to finish it in time. Sourdough in particular doesn't usually last very long. That is why I love this one in particular. For us it lasts the right amount of time and we usually always finish it before it goes bad. It does not come with a lot of slices, but the slices are very big. You can either eat them as is or even cut them in half. I love the way this sourdough bread in particular toasts and the fact that it is not super sweet with additives. I love to use it for my morning avocado toast, or our tuna melts. So for me since we always actually finish this one and the fact that it's good quality and tastes good, it's a good value.

This bread is just delicious. It is not too dry and it has a crusty crust like sourdough bread should have. I put it in the freezer immediately and pull it out as I want it that way I'm eating it fresh. It is excellent for a grilled cheese sandwich!!

Rustik Sourdough Bread is the most wonderful loaf of bread. My family is very pleased that you carry this product. We love this bread more than any other, I do buy other bread for certain reasons but for just sandwiches, it is Rustik only. Thanks for making all of us happy.

This is fantastic bread. i love sourdough for the flavor and no sugar. This bread is very soft and not a strong sourdough, which i like and toast very well. it is pricey but everything is. Best thing is low ingredients which what I always look for 😋

This is a staple our families's pantry. We hate going without it. The bread is good quality it's soft. It doesn't have to be kept in refrigerator and it's very versatile. As breads go I believe it's price fairly. For someone who may not be into sourdough bread, this brand offers a multigrain, a white bread, etc.

The bread was actually quite delicious, the size of the loaf was disappointing though. And the price for this loaf was astronomical! Almost $5 for a 16oz loaf? When people can barely afford groceries, this is how Walmart contributes to the crisis? No thanks, I will not be buying this again! Very disappointed in Walmart.

This bread is “ok”. It's fine as a bread but for me. It does not have a sourdough taste %26 feel. It's dense. I know sourdough has a good chewy texture but it's much heavier than that. The discord is t there either. Idon't order it. I get it substituted. I will decline the substitution from now on

I bought two loaves of this Plain Sourdough Bread. The texture is not chewy, and the flavor is not sourdough. The overall bread's appearance, texture, and flavor are those of plain old boring bread. I was very hopeful as the ingredients listed olive oil, not any seed oil, and their cracked wheat version is delicious. I am looking at the packaging for a Rustic Oven Cracked Wheat Sourdough loaf, and it says "sourdough starter." This plain version does not say it uses a sourdough starter.
