Pleased with this loaf. because the baker is not using citric acids, lactic acids, or amylase enzymes that include soy derivatives. So far we have successfully eaten this with a whey/soy allergy. Check ingredient label because the same baker makes other types of bread with additional additives.

This is a great sourdough! I’ve bought Francisco brand for decades. Saw this, liked the half loaf as it’s just me. I used it for toast, grilled cheese and a hot ham and cheese. It came out so nice! It’s a good flavor, not a strong sourdough which I like. The half loaf is perfect for me. It’s more expensive than my usual, but I think it’s worth it. I’ve already repurchased it.

what began as my favorite bread has been found out by the family now they love it too it makes great French toast makes really good cinnamon bread and one really good thing about it is it doesn't crumble like regular white bread that helps with the clean up a lot

This Rustik sourdough bread is sold in half loaves, but you are actually getting a whole loaf because the slices are very large. The texture is a little heavier than typical sourdough. It is not overpowering. For people who may not like sourdough bread, this might make them fall in love with its perfectly balanced flavor. It’s wonderful for grilled cheese sandwiches or toast, or side with your Italian dinner, or any sandwich. I find that the slices are so big that I can use one slice of bread for a full size sandwich. We keep it as a staple. Moist, flavorful, wonderful texture, perfect! I don’t think anyone would be disappointed unless you really, really, really have to have the very sour sourdough bread. Try it! You just might fall in love!

This is an excellent country style bread, a reminder of old-fashioned styles, when you had to go to the bakery to find one. . It is excellent for breakfast and for lunch sandwiches. I prefer it with salty things (cheese, ham, etc) than with sugary things (hazelnut spread, honey), but it is a matter of taste.

It’s hard to describe what sourdough bread tases like, but it’s one of my favorites. Plus each selection of sourdough brand has a unique taste all their own. The Rustik Sourdough brand is my 2nd favorite. I’ll admit my favorite brand/bread is the stone mill sourdough bread selections. This bread is hard to beat, but I do wish it was shaped to more easily

This bread is as close as I can get to true San Francisco sourdough. I’m a huge snob about sourdough cause I love that tang that comes with it but I always have a hard time finding it on the east coast. I’ve tried so many sourdough loafs and wasted tons of money with those that promised a tang that rivals the San Francisco bread and this brand is as close as I can get. I absolutely love the taste of it. There is a slight tang but not overpowering the way San Francisco bread is which makes for a happy medium. I finished my first loaf in just 3 days and had to go right away and get another loaf. You will love this bread!

I am one who prefers sourdough fot health reasons. This dough looks fabulous... texture is excellent, taste is good but not great for me. It is far too salty. After taste testing a slice, %26 rinsing out my mouth, I can still taste the salt. So, yes my salt intake is a LOT lower than most people use, AND I never use table salt, or kosher salt either. I only buy Pink Himilayan salt for the milder taste, and the minerals already in this type of salt. I do LOVE the texture of this bread as well as its vlassic soudough taste; just not the salt.

I’ve been buying this bread regularly for years; it was consistently high quality - soft and fresh and tasted great. But in the last couple of months (early 2026) something has changed. Now it is consistently old, stiff and chewy and the taste is off. I don’t know what happened but after two months of disappointment it appears not to be just bad batch. Very disappointing.

I bought this bread twice before and I really liked the bread. This time I was very disappointed because the bread was not fresh at all. I’ve had two others breads delivered before and they also were not fresh. What’s going on with this? Bread is so expensive now I hope that something can be done about this.
