It looks far better than it tastes or smells. This is not sour or chewy enough, and it is little different from half a standard round loaf of country bread. It's fine, but only fine. Would not buy again, would not recommend to anyone seeking a bold bread.

If I were paying in Lebanese Pounds (89,600 LBP = 1 USD), that would be one thing. But to pay nearly $6 for a middle-of-the-road, third-loaf of sourdough bread with zero sourdough flavor, Nah. For context, my father made rustic bread during my upbringing. His sister made bread, I have made and make sourdough bread. The woman that taught me is a master at making sourdough bread. This rustic sourdough bread in name only. It has a pleasant, rustic texture. It has no offensive aroma or flavor since it has almost no aroma or flavor. Basically, I paid top price at a large scale, non-specialty supermarket for less than half the bread I should have received for that money. And it was just barely passable.

I am one who prefers sourdough fot health reasons. This dough looks fabulous... texture is excellent, taste is good but not great for me. It is far too salty. After taste testing a slice, %26 rinsing out my mouth, I can still taste the salt. So, yes my salt intake is a LOT lower than most people use, AND I never use table salt, or kosher salt either. I only buy Pink Himilayan salt for the milder taste, and the minerals already in this type of salt. I do LOVE the texture of this bread as well as its vlassic soudough taste; just not the salt.

We like this bread, I just wish they sold whole loaves of it as we eat a lot of sourdough and the half loaves do not last as long. Some of the slices towards what would be the middle of the loaf are long and can sometimes be cut in two to make it go farther.

Half of an oven loaf leaves the slices different sizes. This lovely bread was meant to have something spread on a singe slice of toasted elegance! A flavor like none other and you can add more flavors by adding slices of avocado OR slice and fry turkey hot dogs to lay on a toasted slice with your favorite cheese! This is delicious bread for any and all occasions and all ages! Yes, it is sourdough so it is the best bread for keeping your IBS Belly Happy!

I tried different brands of sourdough. The healthiest has the least amount of ingredients. I found this one. It’s not overly sour to me and even better toasted. The pieces get bigger towards the bottom that I can split them in half and make a sandwich. It’s on the pricey side especially for the amount you get but I like its quality so I buy it when I can.

This is a great sourdough! I’ve bought Francisco brand for decades. Saw this, liked the half loaf as it’s just me. I used it for toast, grilled cheese and a hot ham and cheese. It came out so nice! It’s a good flavor, not a strong sourdough which I like. The half loaf is perfect for me. It’s more expensive than my usual, but I think it’s worth it. I’ve already repurchased it.

This Rustik sourdough bread is sold in half loaves, but you are actually getting a whole loaf because the slices are very large. The texture is a little heavier than typical sourdough. It is not overpowering. For people who may not like sourdough bread, this might make them fall in love with its perfectly balanced flavor. It’s wonderful for grilled cheese sandwiches or toast, or side with your Italian dinner, or any sandwich. I find that the slices are so big that I can use one slice of bread for a full size sandwich. We keep it as a staple. Moist, flavorful, wonderful texture, perfect! I don’t think anyone would be disappointed unless you really, really, really have to have the very sour sourdough bread. Try it! You just might fall in love!

This is an excellent country style bread, a reminder of old-fashioned styles, when you had to go to the bakery to find one. . It is excellent for breakfast and for lunch sandwiches. I prefer it with salty things (cheese, ham, etc) than with sugary things (hazelnut spread, honey), but it is a matter of taste.

if your son-in-law is not making homemade sourdough bread this is the next best thing. Ingredients seem to be the most authentic. The taste flavor and texture is spot on. Fantastic for garlic toast. Personally I don't think so much for cinnamon toast. Perfect for every other sandwich under the sun. Toasts beautifully. At my home you need a higher setting on the toaster if you like light to medium brown toast. Best sourdough. Next to son in law's of course.
