TOO MANY PARTS! -- NOT an "Easy setup"

First of all I'm a DIY type guy. I have "the garage", all the tools, and I usually DO NOT need to look at directions to put things together, BUT holy CRAP this thing is a beat down! It took me a solid 3 HOURS to assemble. There are so many parts and the directions are messed up in places. Then there are some screws up under the grill, that connects it to the frame that are IMPOSSIBLE to put in! I would NOT recommend buying this grill if you have never done a grill assembly before and DO NOT have the patience or 3 hours of your time to assemble this monster. No exaggeration, set aside a solid 3 HOURS to put this thing together. Let me put it to you this way; I would rather change the water pump on my F-150 AND do a brake job than assemble this grill again. It would take me LESS time than to assemble this grill. It is NOT an "Easy setup" like another (fake) reviewer posted.

Verified Purchase

Disappointed

requires more assembly time than most other brands. Seemed sturdy but weren’t able to get middle two burners to light at all. Did all the troubleshooting with the tech and the first burner quit working while we were on call. The tech suggested we return the grill to the store.

A little room for improvement

The 3D directions dont fully apply to my grill. I ended up having to refer to both this and the book. plus, the actual parts aren't marked and were in different boxes so it took a minute to get started. If those two things were get fixed, it would help alot!

Damaged and bad workmanship

The video and app for assembly are very helpful. However, halfway through assembly, I discovered that the left side of the unit was bent, preventing the correct alignment of the lower half. Additionally, the plate under the controls was not installed correctly by the manufacturer and was buckled because the screws were placed incorrectly. Returned the grill and wasted a few hours unpacking attempting to build and returning the item.

Assembly

So far so good. You definitely need a helper to place the grill body on the stand. Have patience putting the doors on. Walk away and try again when you cool down!!🤣 Use a soft drop cloth to keep scratches minimal. OR…Buy one already assembled!!😇

Doesn’t work, Sam’s won’t fix the issue

Came with a broken burner. We tried to resolve it with Sams club, and for the first time ever, had the worst customer service. I’ve reached out several times, with unrealistic response for the agent, or just been completely ignored. I have copies of the entire interaction with Sam’s. So disappointing. If it’s broken, you’re out of luck.

Great Grill

Heavy duty grill.

This is a great grill. I would not recommend the instructions for assembly. Just watch the YouTube video. It took me less than an hour by myself. It can be a one person job with one extra step. Remove the grill cover pins on each side of the lid and take it off. This reduces the weight of the top section. You can then lift the top section by yourself. Please do read the other reviews regarding the adjustments to the two inside thermostatic sensors on each burner. Both of mine needed two washers to adjust the sensor. Once this is done, the grill ignited on the first attempt. Do not return this grill for this issue.

Great Grill

love the grill. I put grill grates on it and do have to be cautious about the level of heat used. I gets hot fast and holds temp very well. The thermister on the two middle do need to get used to to be able to light and hold temp. The aluminum heat box adds to the sturdiness and longevity. It is constructed very well. It does take a few hours to assemble but it is straight forward. The instructions were not very clear and the 3D video was not helpful.

Quality bad, no warranty support or parts

Don't recommend. Sams doesnt have parts, wont support the written warranty, and grill components don't last long. Barely 3 years old, internal parts falling apart. Grill is under a pavilion, never wet, covered and maintained. Sams customer service stinks. So called Members Mark grill hotline is useless. They don't have parts, tell you to call Sams customer service. Sams CS tells you to call members mark. No one supports warranty claims. tell you to take the grill back to the store. not really possible if you don't leave near one and have a truck. Members Mark grill guy told me IF parts were available they'd be over $290 for what I needed. So...even if they have parts you're paying for them.

Defective. Be Careful. Spills gas.

I got this grill as a gift for Christmas last year, and in less than 8 months, it has been leaking gas and going through an entire propane tank. I have reached out to Sam's Club for help since it is less than a year old, but they won't replace a dangerous, defective product because they want the original gifter to reach out to them with the order number (they dont have it) So not only is this product very expensive, but it apparently has no warranty if you get it as a gift. Just wanted to warn others. I should have gotten the 100 dollar grill at Home Depot.
