I was able to assemble this grill in 3 hours using only a Phillips head screwdriver. Wow! Very simple, efficient design. This is the easiest grill I have ever assembled and I have put quite a few of these together in my lifetime. The BILT instructions were fantastic. They leave nothing to the imagination. Follow the instructions and your grill will go together easily.

We got this on clearance in late August of 2024 for $200. I bought the lower end model for $299 at full price which is an excellent grill and well worth the price. The pro series is worth every bit of $499 for the features and quality you get compared to any other model available at this price. At $200 however, I just feel like I won today!

My wife bought this at Sam's two years ago. As other reviews have indicated, it is more tediously annoying to assemble than the 3 Webers that we previously owned. I'm mechanically inclined, and my overall impression of this unit is that it's more cheaply designed and constructed than it should be for the price. For example, in addition to the tedium of putting the grill together, it includes a lot of loose parts that use gravity to stay in place. That's fine if the grill lives in one place. However, if one has to move it some distance -- as one might, depending upon where one is going to use it -- a surprising number of loose parts have to be removed. Another annoyance is the grill's tiny wheels. These are totally inadequate for rolling on anything but smooth concrete. As we found out trying to roll the grill across an expanse of lawn. The grill's wheels insert into thin steel 'box' mounts on the bottom grill frame. The box mounts have two short strings of dot-like welds along two sides of each box. One of the strings of dot welds, on one wheel mount, completely detached, while rolling the grill across grass. The mount's detachment left its caster wheel unbraced. Therefore, the top of the mount bent away from the grill frame. Not only did the grill stop rolling after that happened, it no longer sat securely on a flat surface, without tipping to one side. Furthermore, the way that these wheel mounts are designed prevented us from hammering the bent portion back into place. The edge of the grill frame gets in the way. And there is no way to bend the mount flat again, without first breaking the other string of dot welds loose. So in sum, the grill has poorly welded wheel mounts and a design that makes fixing them, when they break, more difficult than an intelligent engineer would have planned for. So tell me, why would one use such weak welds on the part of the grill that is most subjected to varying vectors of stress? A mildly similar 'what were they thinking' critique applies to the grill's side tables, one of which contains an additional burner. These tables are not easily removable, once assembled. That's a pity. The grill would take a lot less room in winter storage, or in use on smaller patios and decks, if at least one of the side tables was conveniently easy to remove and reattach, depending upon temporary circumstances. In conclusion, the broken wheel mount episode sums my assessment of this grill. It is questionably designed, cheaply constructed and looks better than it really is. This grill compares unfavorably to its major competitor in virtually all respects. A little more thought in the Members Mark design and construction would have overcome this negative comparison. By way of illustration, one of our Webers occasionally used to go airborne in Front Range Colorado's chinook winds. Despite landing on its 'head' or 'face' in during these episodes, it never suffered significant damage. Nor did its wheels or their mounts break, while rolling it around rather frequently.

The video and app for assembly are very helpful. However, halfway through assembly, I discovered that the left side of the unit was bent, preventing the correct alignment of the lower half. Additionally, the plate under the controls was not installed correctly by the manufacturer and was buckled because the screws were placed incorrectly. Returned the grill and wasted a few hours unpacking attempting to build and returning the item.

Typical assembly instructions. Not every picture tells a story. More detail needed when putting it together. The wires and protective sleeve should be inside the frame. The upside down right side up problem was not clear enough on several pieces. Arrows on each piece would have been a great help. As for fit, there were 2 examples of poor fit. One was the spring loaded pin securing the doors to the frame. Each door had a problem. One side was too hard to push in while the other was hampered by a poorly drilled hole that was binding against the pin. The igniter wires could have been much better. Some were too tight and caused a bend in the clip when attaching.

Received the grill a couple of weeks ago and was very easy to setup with the BILT app, which walks you through the process. The grill is very well-built, and very sturdy. Easy cleanup after use. The only complaint that I have is visual - I don't like seeing the propane supply hose for the side burner. Was great and easy to clean after use. I like the "oven mode" that keeps a regulated temperature that you can use. The grill heats up quick for pre-heating and easy to maintain temperatures. If you are in the market for a new grill, don't bypass taking a look at this one. Its worth the money.

The 3D directions dont fully apply to my grill. I ended up having to refer to both this and the book. plus, the actual parts aren't marked and were in different boxes so it took a minute to get started. If those two things were get fixed, it would help alot!

It's definitely time-consuming, but the combination of app and hard copy instructions are helpful. Says it will take 90 minutes with 2 people. I did it by myself, and it took 4.5 hours, but felt like an hour of that was finding the right parts. Packaging was solid, but not organized. It would help a LOT if parts were packed in order of use. connecting the electrode wires were challenging and a little nerve-wracking because they didn't go in easily nor did I hear the "click" I was supposed to get. But overall, it looks great and worked on the first try.

Takes a while to assemble due to many parts but not difficult. Looks nice and is sturdy. However, the grill will not go hotter than 250 degrees, even with all 4 burners going. Might be a regulator issue. Instructions mention a fix if low pressure, which I tried multiple times and multiple tanks but no luck.

Assembly isn't nearly as bad as the reviews state. It's really no different than your average piece of furniture that comes in a box and I've experienced much worse. It's a solid grill, works as it should and seems like a good value for the price point.
