Great features

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like this unit. Works nicely. Still adjusting to times, temperatures, etc. It’s capacity is smaller than my last unit so that is taking done getting used to. It’s not that quiet. It sounds like a jet engine. Not terribly noisy but a bit louder than I would prefer. The controls are super easy and everything seems to be working well. Sometimes the dryer takes longer than it should but perhaps it’s stuffed too much. I would recommend this unit for ease of use and space saving. It really has a much smaller footprint.

Beautiful Machine!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my second LG washer dryer set (but my first Washtower.) I LOVED my LG washer dryer set but sold my home and the buyers wanted it. So, I needed a new set and only considered the LG Washtowe because of my wonderful experience with my previous LG washer/dryer set. My new home had a very tight laundry room area. The LG Washtower made all of the difference -- plenty of room now and I still have full-size, wonderful washer/dryer set. I installed the Washtower on a platform that is about 5" tall.. (I am 6' tall, so this additional few inches of height made the washer height more comfortable.)

Quality product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We received our new washer/dryer a couple of weeks ago, and we've been enjoying all the bells and whistles that come with this combo. First off, both machines are so very quiet, and the notification sounds are so much more pleasing on the ear. Our clothes come out feeling so fresh and clean. We are also enjoying the smart features on both machines. Only thing to emphasize to anyone new to this washing machine - you need to hold the start button down for 3 seconds for it to get going - something we weren't used to in the beginning, but we learned our lesson!

Absolutely LOVE!!!!!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had mine for about 2wks and I am in love. The instructions on how to operate are easy to follow and I love the center touch control panel. It's easy to put the laundry detergent and fabric softener in the drawer and to load the clothes which come out fantastic. This is my first front loader and it's wonderful not having to deal with clothes twisted and wrapped around the agitator. My unit is in my garage but it is so good looking that I actually wish it was in my home. Do not hesitate to purchase.

Love it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this washtower for our condo because we needed it to fit in a small space. It is awesome. Fit like a glove and is large capacity. I like most of the presets and feel they do a great job. Used the steam feature to get wrinkles out of a new bedspread and curtains, and it worked well. Now I want one for home!

Perfect size

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This unit replaced a 16 year old washer and a 21 year old dryer - so it is a vast improvement. I live in a condo, and the washer and dryer are in the passage from the unit to the garage, so there is limited space. The old washer and dryer fit side-by-side, but the space is so shallow that any new side-by-side options would block the exit door, so stacking was the only option. My neighbors with the same floor plan have stacked LG washer/dryers. I love that this unit is pre-stacked and the controls are in the center. It washes and dries much more efficiently than my old models. The only downside is that when the dryer door is open, the latch is just about eye level - and I have to get around the door to carry laundry in. An automatic retractible latch would be a great safety feature!

Great product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just received this unit a few weeks ago and love it so far. The controls in the middle are great for us height challenged folks. The washer is faster than my old GE and seems to clean much better. Love the sleek look and ease of use. The steam function for the dryer really works, shirts come out less wrinkled.

Can handle large loads!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I live in a townhouse where we have a small closet like space for a laundry set. I hates the space saving set that I had previously as I had to do so many loads. This unit fits in full loads and uses the space we have. I absolutely love the smart features

What a Great Unit

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We love our LG Wash Tower. Both units are full size; do a super job on laundry and fit very well into our small laundry area. We love that they are one unit so the controls for both are in the middle. Very glad we purchased this & plan to use it for many years.

Works well; not a control panel for control freaks

We've been using this machine for a couple months now, and here's my experience so far: The Good It does a good job cleaning. It does so effectively and quietly. I like the app features (but more on that later) that let you control the unit to a degree from your phone. Since we have ours in the basement, I also like that I can check the estimated time remaining in the cycle remotely and that it sends me a push notification when my washing/drying is done. The lint trap is far easier to clean than my previous dryer. I like that the front control panel does not have any "printed-on" button labels - on my old machine, the lettering rubbed away, likely from age/exposure to solvents in the cleaning products. That should not be an issue with this design. I also like the central placement of the control panel vs. stacking units that could go side by side, which would make the dryer controls positioned above my head. Overall the performance has been good so far, but I am a nit-picky person, so... The Bad While the lint trap is easy to clean, I also have to clean the rubber door gasket on the dryer every couple of cycles, as it collects lint on it in a way my old machine never did. I thought the rear vent inside the dryer was starting to rust, but upon further inspection it looks like it may have had some kind of adhesive on it that has collected lint which is now stuck to it. I have found some of the settings to be counterintuitive, or require some backtracking to get the machine to do what I want. For example, some settings (let's say a particular water temperature, steam, etc.) are only available in certain wash modes. I find I end up going through a cycle setup only to find that I can't do steam and then need to start again, guessing at a different mode that hopefully will allow me to input the settings I want. I could also look through the manual each time, or eventually memorize them all (?) but that's not any more convenient to me than what I'm doing now. I wish I had more control rather than the unit deciding it's smarter than I am. If I want to super steam my delicates, I should have that right. Similar story with trying to activate the interior light - sometimes it will let you, sometimes not. Why must use of the light be restricted at times? Who is the light going to hurt? Though I really like the app, it's crazy that so much basic functionality is locked away in there instead being accessible from the main control panel of the unit. For example, it is not possible to set a delayed cycle from the main control panel, but this can be done through the app. I cannot fathom how this point got through a product design review. This is incredibly basic functionality, and there are so many opportunities for it to break - if I don't have a smart phone or if its battery dies or I don't have it available, if I don't have wifi or the wifi in my house goes down, if the wifi hardware fails on the washer/dryer, if the wifi signal is bad from my router to the washer/dryer location, if LG decides to stop supporting the app or to start offering it as a subscription service. If any of these things happen, then basic functionality of the unit is entirely inaccessible. And that's just what I can think of right now. Who was in charge of this decision? It's NUTS! The app is great, but some of these functions should really be part of the physical control panel.
