I have to tell ya something! We used THE GOOD CHARCOAL for the first time at SMOKESLAM 2024. We were helping some friends with cooking a whole hog! This lump charcoal is amazing! The first 8 hours of the cook we only used one 27.5 lb bag, in all we used 2 1/2 bags. This charcoal burns hot, last long and doesn't leave a haze on your meat nor any funny smells. PLUS it helps with saving the lives of the cheetahs and Giraffes. The Good Charcoal will be our choice from now on with all our MBN comps and any other cooking/catering we do. If you haven't tried it, I highly recommend you too!

Awesome! Long clean burn with minimal ash. I have a large pit, so most of the time I don't make it past 8 hours without a refuel. Initially I used about 2/3 of a bag, and I got a full cook on 4 boston butts and 3 briskets without adding charcoal. It provided a 14 hour burn before I shut the pit down. I'll definitely use this charcoal again and I highly recommend it. I also appreciate the handle.

I bought originally a while back, mostly for the price. But I stayed for the quality. Like grilling and bbq onceyoy learn it and get it, well you get it. Burns hot when I want a hot fast cook. And will burn slow If I want to slow cook. Give it a shot. Best bang for your buck. And they have a great cause behind them.

This is very poor charcoal. It consist of pieces that are all smaller than a briquette. Very much like you find in the bottom of a charcoal bag. I attempt to load a picture of a golf ball sitting in the middle of the charcoal but was unable to do so. Every piece is smaller than the golf ball.

I had read great reviews about this charcoal for along time and we finally brought two bags to grill some steaks and steak kabobs. I was delighted to see how good my steak tasted and the smell of this Charcoal is really aromatic. It was easy to grill with and I will definitely buy again and again Very impressed! .

I have been using this product in the smaller bag size for a while now and to see this Huge bag instores is a delight! This bag also comes with a handle strong which is a nice touch for such a heavy bag. The charcoal is still really really good and I wont be using anything else now that I can stock up on this stuff.

The price for this product is attractive. We purchase quite a lot of goods from Sams and when Good Charcoal became their lump charcoal brand, we tried it. I do quite a bit of smoking in an Egg as well as Brinkman. The pieces of this charcoal are so small, that the pan smothered itself out during a 2 hour low and slow smoking. Calling this 'lump" is deceiving!

We love this charcoal! We run a competition bbq team and cook across the northern Midwest. We probably bur n 40-50 bags of charcoal a year cooking at bbq competitions, cooking for the public, and cooking for our friends. This charcoal burns hotter so it allows us to use less of it compared to other brands and it produces a great flavor. Plus - it is the most sustainable product around. We love the new 27.5 pound bags with the plastic handle.

This is a great natural lump charcoal brand. You will not find a price this good in other big box stores. Outside of the price I am impressed with the quality of the product. I go through charcoal quickly with my frequent kamado joe cooking. This is a must have!

Love this stuff! I really enjoy how long is lasts and how hot it burns. It does not have a bad taste and I love how I;m not eating and consuming so much chemicals like the other brands. I love what the company stands for and I will be a loyal customer until I burn out in the flames.
