I have been trying different types of lump to use for our Competition team. We seen this at Sams and decided to give it a try. The lump was not super chunky but we gave it a shot and ran it at a comp. We did really well in this cook off and noticed the lump lasted for a long time and would get just as hot at the chunkier lump. Been running it since, we love the large sized bags. We can generally run 1-2 comps per bag

Second bag in a row that consisted of not a single piece bigger than an inch in size. Entire bag was nothing but smalls that made it difficult to use. Never again will I waste money on this brand.

The taste is there, but I can’t get over how small the pieces were. The smaller pieces burn way too quick. Quite a bit of charcoal was used to cook just a few steaks.

This is the best charcoal I have ever used. It's very easy to light, and burns really hot. Perfect for steaks and long smokes. If you prefer larger chunks you might choose another brand. The chunks are small, but burn great.

Not overly impressed. A fair amount of the charcoal is broken up in very small pieces that fall right through the chimney starter. Other than that it’s fine.

This Lump Charcoal is not as advertised. There are very few lumps and most of the charcoal is nothing more than leftover tiny chips from the kiln process. I do not recommend this product.

I too got a bad bag of this charcoal nother but crumbs I sent a message off to the good charcoal co. It was just a few day's i got a bag of lump charcoal from the co. They took care of my bad bag and shipped a new one out to me,, The good charcoal co took care of this

My husband loves this. First time I had bought. We were having a large cook out and somethings need more smoke that you can get from a gas grill. The charcoal lit easily and gave off a ton of heat. We have now cooked everything from pork, salmon to oysters on it. Everything comes out great.

The outside of the bag is covered with a fine, black dust. Your hands and clothes will get dirty when handling the bag. Also the bag was not stitched up completely closed on the bottom allowing some charcoal to spill out into my car on drive home. I hadn't noticed this defect until I got home. The product works very well, i.e. easy to light, burns hot, good flavor to food.

This is hands down the worst “lump” charcoal on the market. I’m not really sure where the get the lump part from, but this should be called pebble charcoal. It’s literally unusable. You cannot light this in a chimney because it’s too small and doesn’t get any airflow to actually burn. The manufacturer sent me a new bag and it was still the same garbage. DO NOT BUY THIS!
