I just picked up this charcoal for the first time for the Fourth of July after seeing it on the Times100. I was not disappointed. I like their mission and my family liked the food I made. This is new go-to charcoal.

Most pieces are no larger than a half dollar, meaning most of this will fall through your grate mere minutes after taking light. Not only will I not buy again, I logged in just to help keep others from making the same mistake.

Ive heard good things about this charcoal and decided to give it a try when I was it at Sam’s. Burns nice and hot for a long time. Then noticed it helps feed Americans with every bag purchased. Sure doesn’t get better than that!

Charcoal is terrible. Pieces are so small about 30% falls through the grate. "Lump" charcoal in name only. I'm not sure there's 5 actual lumps in the whole bag. Two stars instead of one because It does smell good when burned

Burned hot and held up very well. Very good amount of intact chunks of wood. Some companies practically give you shavings. Mellow smoke flavor, shouldnt overpower anything. Great value, I'll buy again
