[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Good Charcoal lump charcoal is different from what I’ve tried in the past. It’s lump shape instead of briquettes which I actually really like. What I love about this particular charcoal is that it is chemical free and there are no additive’s which is important to me when I’m using it to cook my food. We prefer cooking with charcoal because of the flavor and this gave our food good flavor and the food seemed to cook evenly and the charcoal didn’t burn out fast like some other brands. This is also such a good value! It’s only around $19 for a very large bag of charcoal, you can’t beat the price, I was so surprised when I picked it up because I didn’t expect it to be this big.

I found this charcoal easy to use, with no issues lighting. Being a novice charcoal grill user, I felt the mix of large and small pieces made lighting easier. My food cooked my food well and tasted good. I was excited to see a better option for charcoal without all the junk others have. Recommend.

I only took away one star because it was a little bit of a learning curve, and our first meal didn’t come out that great. We did steaks the second time and they came out good! The charcoal clumps were all different sizes but burnt really well, and it made us feel better than it was chemical free! I would buy again!

The Good Charcoal Lump is fantastic charcoal if you are doing low and slow or hot and fast! Adds a ton of flavor to whatever you may be cooking. Also, this charcoal will last up to 8 hours for a burn and also on my offset smoker. I have been getting great and consistent results! And love how they back the local communities! Highly recommend this product as it is an excellent charcoal.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This charcoal is not like the last charcoal I used. Previously had purchased the brick type of charcoal and I find it hard to light. I like the flavor of charcoal barbecue meat, but I have gotten away from it since it was more difficult for me. This charcoal has opened up a whole New World and we have broke out the charcoal barbecue. The bag was much lighter than it looked and the handle on top makes it very convenient. It opens easy and I do suggest you use something to scoop this out instead of your hands because it does transfer quite a bit and you get black everywhere. What is really nice is that it lights easily, I just used the clicker for a second and as you can see in one of the photos it already turned red. I also like that you can use a little or a lot depending on what you’re doing and how much heat might need and for how long.

The Good Charcoal Company makes these large lumps of charcoal that are easy to light and they make my grilling meats tastes great. The burn time is great and lasts long too.

My husband and I bought this because it's the first clean charcoal we've seen - chemical-free! We picked up two bags because the price was amazing for a 27.5 lb bag! We are highly satisfied with the quality and will be purchasing again! We recommend looking at this company's website because they do amazing things, giving back to communities in need!
