The Good Charcoal Lump is fantastic charcoal if you are doing low and slow or hot and fast! Adds a ton of flavor to whatever you may be cooking. Also, this charcoal will last up to 8 hours for a burn and also on my offset smoker. I have been getting great and consistent results! And love how they back the local communities! Highly recommend this product as it is an excellent charcoal.

This stuff is terrible. The whole bag is small chunks, so getting enough airflow is almost impossible. If I leave my vents opened up for 20 minutes with any decent lump charcoal, it's at 700+ degrees. With this stuff, I'm struggling to maintain 250 after it's been lit for over an hour and a half. If you have a kamado style grill, then stay away from this stuff.

Lump burns hot, clean, and doesn't leave a lot of ash behind. I get great burn times in my drum as well as my cabinet smokers, and often get compliments on how clean my cook smells. TGC keeps the fires burning throughout the night, no need to reload to finish those long cooks up.

I have been using this lump charcoal for over 2 years, and I am not one to write reviews, but this charcoal is too good not to. As someone who regularly is smoking meat and grilling, I look for high quality in everything I use, not just the meat, but the source of heat. This charcoal burns so consistent from start to finish, with such a clean burn and smoke consistency, versus other brands that burn dirty or impart an over smoked flavor on the meat. I am a big fan of this company and the quality they put into their products.

My buddies that compete in BBQ use this stuff and love it. I also won a couple bags as a give away and they have preformed much better than other brands I have tried. I look forward to using it at a competition this weekend. The bang for your buck is top notch on this product.

Absolutely the worst charcoal I have ever tried. Nothing but tiny crushed up less than marble sized pieces. And full of rocks. I've been cooking with lump for 30 years and try every brand I can find. Not much difference between most of them and all of them can give you a bag that isn't perfect. Some brands too many big pieces, some times too many little pieces. Most have a pound of waste. This product is nothing but waste. 25 pounds of my bag ended up in the county dump.
